5. Operating Modes

The KRAUSE Corda system offers three primary operating modes:

5.1. Work Platform (Scaffolding)

This configuration provides a stable and spacious work surface. The platform dimensions are 147 x 50 cm. The working height for this mode is approximately 2.75 meters.

5.2. Stepladder

The unit can be folded into a stable stepladder configuration. The working height for the stepladder mode is approximately 2.95 meters.

5.3. Single Ladder

Each ladder section can be used independently as a single ladder. The working height for a single ladder is approximately 3.75 meters.

The design also allows for use on varying height levels, such as stairs, by adjusting the height of the individual ladder sections.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your KRAUSE Corda scaffolding ladder.

  • Cleaning: Clean the aluminum frame and platform with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all rungs, joints, hinges, and the platform for any signs of damage, cracks, loose fasteners, or excessive wear. Pay close attention to the foot caps for integrity.
  • Storage: Store the scaffolding ladder in a dry, protected area, away from extreme temperatures and corrosive substances. Ensure it is stored in a way that prevents accidental falls or damage.
  • Damaged Parts: Do not attempt to repair damaged components yourself. Contact KRAUSE customer support or an authorized service center for replacement parts or professional repair.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your KRAUSE Corda scaffolding ladder, consider the following:

  • Instability: If the unit feels unstable, re-check that it is placed on a firm, level surface. Ensure all crossbars are fully extended and foot caps are making full contact with the ground. Verify all locking mechanisms are engaged.
  • Difficulty in Assembly/Disassembly: Ensure that all components are correctly aligned. Do not force parts together. Refer to the setup instructions.
  • Platform Not Level: Re-adjust the platform height, ensuring it is securely seated on the same rung level on both ladder sections.

For persistent issues or concerns about structural integrity, discontinue use immediately and contact customer support.
