3. Product Overview
Familiarize yourself with the main components of your ThiEYE T5 Edge camera:
- Lens: 170° super wide-angle 7G lens for expansive shots.
- Display Screen: 2.0-inch Ultra-HD IPS screen for live view and playback.
- Power/Mode Button: Used to power on/off and switch between modes.
- Shutter/Select Button: Used to start/stop recording or take photos, and confirm selections.

4. Setup
4.1 Battery Installation and Charging
- Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the camera.
- Insert the 1100mAh Lithium-Ion battery, ensuring the correct orientation.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
- To charge, connect the camera to a USB power source using the provided USB cable. The charging indicator will illuminate.
- Note: If you experience issues with the battery charging while inside the camera, it is recommended to remove the battery and charge it externally if you have a compatible charger.
4.2 MicroSD Card Installation
- Locate the microSD card slot on the side of the camera.
- Insert a Class 10 or UHS-I U3 microSD card (up to 128GB capacity) with the contacts facing the front of the camera until it clicks into place.
- To remove, gently push the card until it springs out.
4.3 Mounting the Camera
The ThiEYE T5 Edge comes with various mounting accessories to suit different activities. The durable waterproof case allows for underwater use up to 197 feet (60 meters). The unique 360° rotating buckle enables flexible mounting options on helmets, bicycles, wrists, and more.

5. Operating the Camera
5.1 Power On/Off
- To power on, press and hold the Power/Mode button for approximately 5 seconds until the screen illuminates.
- To power off, press and hold the Power/Mode button again until the camera shuts down.
5.2 Basic Video Recording and Photo Capture
- Video Recording: In video mode, press the Shutter/Select button to start recording. Press it again to stop. The camera supports Native 4K at 30fps, 2.7K at 30fps, 1080P at 60/30fps, and 720P at 120/60/30fps.
- Photo Capture: In photo mode, press the Shutter/Select button to take a 20MP photo.
5.3 Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS)
The advanced gyro stabilization function (EIS) minimizes blur and provides clear, stable images, even when recording in 4K. This feature is ideal for capturing smooth footage during dynamic activities.

5.4 Distortion Correction
The distortion correction function helps to eliminate the fisheye effect often seen with wide-angle lenses, resulting in more natural-looking footage.

Important Note: Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) and Distortion Correction cannot be enabled simultaneously.
5.5 Voice Control and Remote Control
