2. Setup: Battery Installation
The RC-1115 remote control requires two AAA batteries (not included) for operation. Follow these steps to install the batteries:
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
- Slide the battery compartment cover downwards to open it.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
- Slide the battery compartment cover back into place until it clicks securely.
No additional programming is required for this replacement remote control. It is ready for use with compatible DENON receivers once batteries are installed.

3. Operating Instructions
The RC-1115 remote control provides full functionality for your compatible DENON AV Surround Receiver. Below are common functions and their corresponding buttons:
- Power ON/OFF: Use the ON and OFF buttons at the top right and left corners, respectively, to power the receiver on or off.
- Input Selection: Select your desired audio/video source using buttons like DVD, VCR(iPod), V.AUX, EXT.IN, CD, CD-R/TAPE, AUX, TUNER, and D.INPUTS.
- Volume Control: Adjust the volume using the VOLUME UP (▲) and VOLUME DOWN (▼) buttons located on the right side.
- Mute: Press the MUTE button to temporarily silence the audio. Press again to restore sound.
- Navigation and Enter: Use the directional arrow buttons (▲, ▼, ◀, ▶) around the central MEMO/ENTER button to confirm selections.
- Menu and Setup: Access receiver settings with the SETUP button.
- Sound Modes: Utilize buttons like SURROUND, NIGHT, and STEREO to select different audio processing modes.
