Setup
1. Amplifier Placement
Place the amplifier on a stable, flat surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit to prevent overheating. The lightweight aluminum enclosure includes mounting tabs for secure installation if desired.
2. Connecting Speakers
The Kinter K3118 features spring-loaded terminals for speaker connections. Connect your passive speakers to the "SPEAKER IMPEDANCE 2-8Ω" terminals on the rear panel. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -) for each channel (Left and Right) to avoid phase issues and ensure optimal sound reproduction.

3. Connecting Audio Sources
The amplifier offers two types of audio inputs:
- RCA Inputs: Use standard RCA cables to connect audio devices such as CD players, DVD players, or other audio components to the "AUDIO INPUT" RCA jacks (red for right, white for left).
- 3.5mm MP3 Input: For portable devices like smartphones, tablets, or MP3 players, use a 3.5mm stereo audio cable to connect to the "MP3" input jack.
Note: Only one audio input can be used at a time. Using both simultaneously may result in distorted audio or damage to the unit.
4. Connecting Power
Connect the included 12V DC, 3A power supply to the "DC12V3A" input jack on the rear panel. Then, plug the power supply into a standard electrical outlet. The amplifier is designed to operate with the specified power supply for optimal performance and safety.

Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off
Locate the "POWER" switch on the front panel. Flip the switch to the "ON" position to power on the amplifier. The volume knob will illuminate with a blue LED light, indicating the unit is active. Flip the switch to the "OFF" position to power off.

Figure 4: Front Panel Controls
2. Volume Control
The large "VOLUME" knob on the right side of the front panel controls the overall audio output level. Rotate clockwise to increase volume and counter-clockwise to decrease it. Start with the volume at a low setting before playing audio to prevent sudden loud sounds.
3. Tone Controls (Treble and Bass)
The "TREBLE" and "BASS" knobs allow you to adjust the high and low frequencies of the audio output, respectively. Rotate clockwise to boost the frequency and counter-clockwise to cut it. Adjust these to your preference for balanced sound.
4. Tone/Direct Switch
The "TONE / DIRECT" switch bypasses the treble and bass tone controls when set to "DIRECT". In "DIRECT" mode, the audio signal passes through the amplifier without any equalization, providing a pure, uncolored sound. In "TONE" mode, the treble and bass controls are active.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the amplifier's exterior. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols, as they may damage the finish or internal components.
- Ventilation: Ensure the amplifier's heat sinks and vents are clear of obstructions to allow for proper airflow and prevent overheating.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the amplifier in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Power Supply: Always use the original or a compatible 12V 3A power supply. Using an incorrect power supply can damage the unit and void the warranty.
Important Safety Instructions
To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove cover. No user-serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified personnel. To reduce the risk of fire and shock do not expose unit to rain or moisture. Do not operate unit if power cord is frayed or broken. Do not ground unit. The unit should be operated in a well-ventilated area. Minimum available space 6 inches from any wall or object.
Troubleshooting
- No Sound:
- Check if the amplifier is powered on (blue LED on volume knob should be lit).
- Verify all audio cables (RCA or 3.5mm) are securely connected to both the source and the amplifier.
- Ensure speakers are correctly wired to the amplifier's output terminals with correct polarity.
- Check the volume level on both the amplifier and the audio source.
- Confirm only one audio input is active at a time.
- Distorted Sound:
- Reduce the volume level on both the amplifier and the audio source.
- Adjust the "TREBLE" and "BASS" knobs to a neutral position or switch to "DIRECT" mode.
- Ensure speaker impedance (2-8 ohms) matches the amplifier's requirements.
- Check for damaged audio cables or speaker wires.
- Power Indicator Not Lit:
- Verify the power supply is securely plugged into the amplifier and the wall outlet.
- Check if the wall outlet is functional.
- Ensure the power switch on the amplifier is in the "ON" position.
