Adjusting Speed
The WEN 23190 features a variable speed dial, allowing you to adjust the rotational speed from 8,000 to 35,000 RPM. Select the appropriate speed for your material and accessory.
- Turn the speed dial to increase or decrease the RPM. Lower speeds are suitable for polishing, delicate work, and some plastics. Higher speeds are ideal for cutting, grinding, and drilling in harder materials.
- Always test on a scrap piece of material to determine the optimal speed before beginning your project.
General Usage Tips
- Apply light pressure. Let the tool and accessory do the work. Excessive pressure can cause the tool to overheat, damage the accessory, or lead to loss of control.
- Keep the tool moving. Do not hold the accessory in one spot for too long, especially when grinding or cutting, to prevent burning or damaging the material.
- For best results, use the appropriate accessory for each task. Refer to accessory guides for specific applications.
