5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning the Scanner
Regular cleaning ensures optimal scan quality and extends the life of your scanner.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the scanner with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
- Film/Slide Holders: Clean the film holders with a soft cloth to remove any dust or debris that could transfer to your film.
- Internal Lens/Light Source: Use the provided cleaning brush to gently remove dust from the internal lens and light source area. Insert the brush into the film slot and carefully sweep away any particles. Do not use compressed air directly into the scanner as it may push dust further inside or damage components.
5.2 Storage
When not in use, store the scanner in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep it covered to prevent dust accumulation.
