VocoPro DIGITALCONF16 Wireless Microphone System Instruction Manual
Model: DIGITALCONF16
1. Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your VocoPro DIGITALCONF16 Wireless Microphone System. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the product to ensure proper functionality and longevity.
The VocoPro DIGITALCONF16 is a 16-channel wireless conference microphone system designed for clear and reliable audio transmission. It operates in the 900MHz frequency band and features 24-bit digital technology for professional-quality sound. Individual digital microphone IDs prevent channel cross-talk, and the system offers a wide frequency response for natural-sounding vocals.

3. Setup Guide
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all items from the packaging.
- Install Batteries: Insert the provided AA batteries into each of the 16 microphone bases. Ensure correct polarity.
- Attach Microphones to Bases: Securely twist each gooseneck microphone onto its corresponding base. Ensure a firm connection to prevent dislodging during use.
- Connect Receiver Antennas: Screw the antennas onto the designated ports on the rear of the receiver unit. Position them vertically for optimal signal reception.
- Power On Receiver: Connect the AC power adapter to the receiver's DC input and plug it into a power outlet. Press the power button on the receiver.
- Connect Audio Output:
- For individual channel output: Connect XLR cables from the dedicated XLR outputs (Channels 1-16) on the receiver to your mixer or recording device.
- For mixed output: Connect a 1/4" mono cable from the "MIX OUT" port on the receiver to your audio system.
- Sync Microphones (if necessary): The system typically comes pre-synced. If a microphone is not connecting, refer to the "Operating Instructions" for channel syncing.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Powering On/Off Microphones
- To power on a microphone, press and hold the power button on its base until the indicator light illuminates.
- To power off, press and hold the power button again until the light turns off.
4.2. Mute/Unmute Function
- Each microphone base has a mute button. Press it once to mute (indicator light may change color, e.g., from green to red).
- Press it again to unmute (indicator light returns to active color).
4.3. Adjusting Receiver Volume
- The receiver unit features individual volume controls for each of the 16 channels. Use the up/down buttons next to each channel display to adjust the output volume.
- The receiver's display will show the current channel, frequency, and signal levels.
4.4. Microphone Technique
For optimal sound quality and to minimize plosives (harsh "p" and "b" sounds), position the microphone a few inches from the speaker's mouth, slightly off-axis. Avoid speaking directly into the microphone head.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the receiver and microphone bases. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: Replace AA batteries in the microphone bases as needed. Low battery indicators will typically appear on the microphone display or receiver.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the system in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging or a protective case. Remove batteries from microphones before long-term storage.
- Antenna Care: Handle antennas carefully to avoid bending or breaking. Ensure they are securely attached during operation.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1. No Sound Output
- Check all cable connections (power, audio output) to ensure they are secure.
- Verify that the receiver is powered on and the microphones are active (green indicator light).
- Ensure the volume levels on both the receiver and your connected audio system are appropriately set.
- Confirm that the microphones are not muted.
- Check the receiver display for signal strength and frequency matching with the microphones.
6.2. Poor Sound Quality / Interference
- Ensure antennas are properly positioned and unobstructed.
- Move the receiver closer to the microphones if possible, within the specified wireless range.
- Check for other wireless devices operating in the 900MHz band that might cause interference.
- Verify microphone technique to avoid plosives or speaking too far from the microphone.
- If individual channels are experiencing cross-talk, ensure unique digital IDs are correctly assigned (this is usually automatic but can be re-synced if issues persist).
6.3. Microphones Not Powering On
- Replace batteries with fresh AA batteries.
- Ensure batteries are inserted with correct polarity.
