1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

For your safety and to prevent damage to the chair, please observe the following guidelines:

• Do not exceed the maximum weight recommendation of 275 pounds (125 kg).
• Always follow the assembly instructions carefully to ensure the chair is stable and safe for use.
• Keep children and pets away from the assembly area. Small parts can be a choking hazard.

4. Assembly Instructions

Please follow these steps carefully. It is recommended to assemble the chair on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratching.

1. Attach Casters to Base: Insert each of the five casters into the holes at the end of each leg of the five-star base. Push firmly until they click into place.
2. Insert Gas Lift into Base: Place the pneumatic gas lift cylinder into the center hole of the assembled five-star base. Ensure it sits securely.
3. Attach Mechanism Plate to Seat: Align the mechanism plate with the pre-drilled holes on the underside of the chair seat. Ensure the front of the mechanism faces the front of the seat. Secure with screws from the hardware kit.
4. Attach Armrests to Seat: Attach the armrests to the sides of the chair seat using the provided screws. Do not fully tighten yet.
5. Attach Backrest to Seat/Armrests: Align the backrest with the armrests and the seat. Secure with screws. Once all screws are in place for the armrests and backrest, tighten all screws firmly.
6. Connect Seat Assembly to Base: Carefully place the assembled seat and backrest onto the pneumatic gas lift cylinder, ensuring the tapered end of the cylinder fits into the center hole of the mechanism plate.

5. Operating Your Chair

Your SertaPedic Cosset Executive Chair is designed with several adjustable features to provide personalized comfort and support.

5.1 Pneumatic Seat Height Adjustment

To adjust the seat height, locate the lever on the right side, beneath the seat. While seated, pull the lever up to lower the seat. To raise the seat, stand up slightly and pull the lever up. Release the lever at your desired height.

5.2 Tilt Tension Adjustment

The tilt tension knob is located under the front of the seat. Turn the knob clockwise to increase the tension, making it harder to recline. Turn it counter-clockwise to decrease tension, allowing for easier reclining.

5.3 Tilt Lockout Feature

To lock the chair in an upright position, push the same lever used for height adjustment inwards (towards the center of the chair). To unlock and allow tilting, pull the lever outwards.

5.4 ARCHES Back Health Technology
