2. Safety Information

3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Unpacking
Remove all packaging materials, including the transport bolts, before using the appliance. Retain packaging for potential future transport.
3.2 Location
Install the washing machine on a firm, flat, and stable surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance. Avoid direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

3.3 Water Connection
Connect the water inlet hose to a cold water tap with a 3/4" thread. Ensure the drain hose is securely placed into a standpipe or over the edge of a sink, preventing siphoning.
3.4 Electrical Connection
Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet is easily accessible.
3.5 Leveling the Appliance
Adjust the feet of the washing machine to ensure it is perfectly level. This prevents excessive vibration and noise during operation.
3.6 First Use
Before washing laundry, run an empty wash cycle at 60°C with a small amount of detergent to clean the drum and remove any manufacturing residues.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Control Panel Overview
The control panel features a program selector dial, function buttons, and an LED display for cycle information and settings.

4.2 Loading Laundry
Open the top lid and press the SoftOpening button to gently open the drum cover. Load laundry evenly into the drum, ensuring not to overload. The maximum capacity is 6 kg.

4.3 Adding Detergent
Pull out the detergent dispenser drawer. Add the appropriate amount of detergent and fabric softener to the designated compartments. Refer to detergent packaging for dosage recommendations.

4.4 Program Selection
Turn the program selector dial to choose your desired wash program. The AEG L6TB41269 features ProSense Technology, which automatically adjusts wash time, water, and energy consumption based on load size. Available programs include:

- Wool/Silk (Woolmark Blue certified)

The Eco TimeSave function allows you to combine ECO options with TimeSave for energy-efficient and shorter wash cycles.
4.5 Starting a Cycle
After selecting the program and any desired options (e.g., temperature, spin speed, delay start), press the Start/Pause button to begin the wash cycle.
4.6 Delay Start Function
Use the delay start function to postpone the start of a wash cycle by a set number of hours, allowing you to run the machine at a more convenient time.
5. Maintenance and Care
5.1 Cleaning the Exterior
Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
5.2 Cleaning the Detergent Dispenser
Regularly remove and clean the detergent dispenser drawer under running water to prevent residue buildup.
5.3 Cleaning the Drum
Run a maintenance wash cycle (e.g., a hot cotton wash with no laundry and a descaling agent) periodically to keep the drum clean and fresh.
5.4 Cleaning the Drain Filter
The drain filter should be cleaned regularly to prevent blockages. Refer to the diagram in the full manual for the exact location and procedure. Typically, it is located at the bottom front of the appliance.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter an issue, consult this section before contacting service. Many common problems can be resolved by following these steps.
- Appliance does not start: Check if the power plug is inserted, the door is closed, and the Start/Pause button has been pressed. Ensure the water tap is open.
- Water does not drain: Check if the drain hose is kinked or blocked. Clean the drain filter.
- Excessive vibration or noise: Ensure the appliance is level and all transport bolts have been removed. Check if the load is unbalanced.
- Poor washing results: Check detergent dosage, water temperature, and program selection. Avoid overloading the drum.
