  4. Initial Burn-in (Optional but Recommended): For the first use, it is recommended to run the air fryer empty for about 10-15 minutes at 400°F (200°C) to burn off any manufacturing residues. A slight odor may be present, which is normal. Ensure good ventilation during this process.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to cook with your DASH Compact Air Fryer:

  1. Prepare Food: Place your desired food into the Crisper Basket. Do not overfill the basket; ensure there is enough space for air to circulate. For best results, food should be in a single layer or shaken periodically.
  2. Insert Drawer: Slide the Crisper Drawer firmly back into the Air Fryer until it clicks into place.
  3. Plug In: Plug the power cord into a standard 110V wall outlet.
  4. Set Temperature: Turn the Temperature Control Dial on top to your desired cooking temperature.
  5. Set Time: Turn the Timer Dial on the front to your desired cooking time. The Air Fryer will begin heating immediately.
  6. Monitor & Shake (Optional): For even cooking, especially with items like fries or chicken wings, pull out the Crisper Drawer halfway through the cooking time and gently shake the basket. Then, reinsert the drawer to resume cooking.
  7. Completion: The Air Fryer will automatically shut off when the timer reaches zero. A bell will sound. Carefully pull out the Crisper Drawer using the handle.
  8. Serve: Carefully remove the cooked food from the basket. Use tongs or a spatula to avoid scratching the non-stick coating.
  9. Unplug: Always unplug the appliance from the wall outlet after use.
