6. Installation and Setup

6.1. Battery Installation

  • Mount the detector in a corner or on a flat wall at a height of approximately 2.0 to 2.4 meters (6.5 to 8 feet).
  • Ensure the detection area covers the desired entry points or high-traffic zones.
  • Avoid aiming the detector directly at windows, heat sources (e.g., radiators, air conditioning vents), or areas with significant air currents, as these can cause false alarms.
  • The detection range is up to 10 meters with a 110-degree angle in open space.

6.4. Mounting the Device

  • False alarms: Review the mounting location. Ensure there are no heat sources, direct sunlight, or strong air currents in the detection zone. Adjust the detector's angle if possible.
  • Poor detection: Verify that the sensor lens is clean and unobstructed. Ensure the detector is mounted at the recommended height and covers the intended area.
  • Communication issues: Ensure the detector is within the wireless range of the AS8000 hub (up to 100m in open space, less indoors due to obstacles). Check for potential interference from other wireless devices.
