6.2 Offline Clone Function

The offline clone function allows you to duplicate data from a source hard drive to up to three target hard drives without needing a computer connection. This is ideal for data backup, system migration, or mass duplication.

Important Notes Before Cloning:

  • The capacity of the target drive(s) must be equal to or greater than the capacity of the source drive.
  • All data on the target drive(s) will be erased during the cloning process. Please back up any important data on the target drive(s) before proceeding.
  • Do not disconnect the power or drives during the cloning process. This can lead to data loss or damage to the drives.

Cloning Steps:

  1. Ensure the docking station is powered off and disconnected from any computer.
  2. Insert the Source Drive into the HDD1 bay.
  3. Insert the Target Drive(s) into the HDD2, HDD3, and/or HDD4 bays.
  4. Connect the power adapter and power on the docking station.
  5. Press and hold the PC/Clone Mode Button (4) for approximately 3-5 seconds until the LED indicators (3) start flashing. This confirms the cloning process has begun.
  6. The progress of the clone will be indicated by the flashing LEDs:
    • 25% complete: HDD2 LED solid, HDD3/HDD4 LEDs flashing.
    • 50% complete: HDD2/HDD3 LEDs solid, HDD4 LED flashing.
    • 75% complete: HDD2/HDD3/HDD4 LEDs solid.
    • 100% complete: All HDD LEDs (HDD1-HDD4) will be solid blue.
  7. Once all LEDs are solid blue, the cloning process is complete. You can now safely power off the docking station and remove the drives.

7. Maintenance

  • Keep the docking station in a clean, dry environment away from direct sunlight, high temperatures, and humidity.
  • Avoid dropping or subjecting the device to strong impacts.
  • Do not disassemble the device. Any unauthorized disassembly will void the warranty.
  • Clean the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
  • Ensure proper ventilation around the device during operation to prevent overheating.
