- Follow the on-screen setup wizard to configure your internet connection type (e.g., PPPoE, Dynamic IP, Static IP) and set up your wireless network name (SSID) and password.
- It is highly recommended to change the default administrator password for security purposes.

Operating Modes
The iBall WRB-303N Router supports several operating modes to adapt to different network setups:
- Broadband Internet Router Mode: This is the default mode, where the device connects to your modem and shares the internet connection wirelessly and via Ethernet ports to multiple devices.
- Access Point (AP) Mode: In this mode, the router connects to an existing wired network and broadcasts a wireless signal, extending the reach of your current network.
- WISP Internet Mode: Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) mode allows the router to connect wirelessly to an ISP's access point and then share that internet connection with local wired and wireless clients.
- Universal Repeater Mode: This mode extends the range of an existing wireless network by repeating its signal. It connects wirelessly to an existing Wi-Fi network and re-broadcasts it.
You can switch between these modes through the router's web-based management interface.
Maintenance
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your iBall WRB-303N Router, consider the following maintenance tips:
- Keep Clean: Regularly wipe the router with a soft, dry cloth to prevent dust accumulation, which can affect ventilation.
- Ventilation: Ensure the router is placed in a well-ventilated area. Do not cover ventilation openings.
- Firmware Updates: Periodically check the iBall official website for firmware updates. Keeping your firmware updated can improve performance, security, and add new features.
- Restart Periodically: Restarting the router every few weeks can help clear its memory and resolve minor performance issues.
- Avoid Extreme Conditions: Do not expose the router to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your iBall WRB-303N Router, try the following troubleshooting steps:
- No Internet Access:
- Check if the WAN LED on the router is lit. If not, ensure the Ethernet cable from your modem is securely connected to the router's WAN port.
- Verify that your modem is working correctly and has an active internet connection.
- Restart both your modem and router by unplugging them from power for 30 seconds, then plugging them back in, starting with the modem.
- Confirm your internet connection settings in the router's web interface are correct (e.g., PPPoE username/password).
- Weak or Unstable Wi-Fi Signal:
- Relocate the router to a more central position, away from walls, large metal objects, and other electronic devices that may cause interference.
- Ensure the router's antennas are positioned vertically for optimal signal dispersion.
- Check for other Wi-Fi networks in your area that might be using the same channel. You can change your router's Wi-Fi channel in the settings to a less congested one.
- Cannot Access Router's Web Interface:
- Ensure your device is connected to the router's network (either wired or wirelessly).
- Verify you are entering the correct IP address (e.g.,
192.168.1.1). - Try clearing your browser's cache or using a different browser.
- If you forgot the login password, you may need to perform a factory reset (see below).
- Factory Reset:
- If all else fails, you can restore the router to its factory default settings. Locate the reset button (usually a small pinhole) on the router.
- With the router powered on, use a paperclip or similar pointed object to press and hold the reset button for about 10-15 seconds until the LEDs flash.
- Release the button. The router will restart with factory default settings, and you will need to reconfigure it.
