Setup Instructions

Mounting the Sight

  1. Ensure your bow is safely secured in a bow vise or stable position.
  2. Align the sight mounting bracket with the mounting holes on your bow's riser. The Alpha React 1 offers three bow mounting positions for optimal fit.
  3. Insert the mounting screws and tighten them securely. Do not overtighten.
  4. Verify that the sight is firmly attached and does not wobble.

Initial Sighting-In (React Technology)

The React Technology simplifies sighting-in by automatically calibrating multiple yardage pins after setting just two. For best results, use a consistent shooting form and arrow setup.

  1. Set 20-Yard Pin:
    • Set up a target at 20 yards.
    • Adjust the sight's vertical housing using the tool-less elevation adjustment knob until your arrows consistently hit the target at 20 yards.
    • Adjust the windage using the tool-less windage adjustment knob until your arrows are centered horizontally.
  2. Set 30-Yard Pin:
    • Move your target to 30 yards.
    • Without adjusting the main elevation knob, use the individual pin adjustment for the 30-yard pin (if applicable, or follow the React Technology instructions for setting the second reference point).
    • Once the 20-yard and 30-yard pins are accurately set, the React Technology will automatically calibrate the remaining yardage indicators (40, 50, 60 yards, etc.) based on your bow's trajectory.
  3. Verify Remaining Pins:
    • Shoot at targets at 40, 50, and 60 yards to confirm the accuracy of the automatically set pins. Minor micro-adjustments can be made if necessary.
  4. Second and Third Axis Leveling:
    • For advanced accuracy, especially at longer distances or on uneven terrain, adjust the second and third axis levels. Refer to the detailed component diagram for adjustment points.
    • Ensure the precision-installed bubble level is centered when the bow is at full draw and level.

Operating Instructions

Adjusting for Distance

  1. Once sighted in, use the yardage selector to quickly adjust the single pin to the desired distance.
  2. The yardage selector locking lever can be engaged to secure the pin at a specific distance.

Using the Rheostat Light

  1. The integrated rheostat light illuminates the fiber optic pin for improved visibility in low light conditions.
  2. Rotate the rheostat knob to adjust the brightness of the pin to suit ambient light.
  3. Turn off the light when not in use to conserve battery life.
