2. Safety Instructions
- Electrical Safety: Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local wiring regulations. Ensure the main power supply is disconnected before installation, maintenance, or repair.
- Voltage: This product operates on 230V. Verify your power supply matches this requirement.
- Outdoor Use: The fixture has an IP44 rating, providing protection against splashing water. It is suitable for outdoor use but should not be submerged in water.
- Handling: Do not touch the LED light source directly when the fixture is powered on or immediately after use, as it may be hot.
- Damage: Do not use the product if any part is damaged. Contact customer support for replacement parts.
3. Package Contents
Verify that all components are present before beginning installation:
- Lindby LED LANEA Path Light fixture with integrated LED
- Mounting hardware (screws, anchors)
- Instruction Manual (this document)
4. Setup and Installation
Important: Ensure power is OFF at the circuit breaker before proceeding with installation.
- Prepare Mounting Location: Choose a suitable outdoor location for the path light. Ensure the surface is stable and can support the fixture.
- Mark Drilling Points: Use the fixture's base as a template to mark the drilling points on the mounting surface.
- Drill Holes: Drill holes at the marked points. Insert appropriate wall anchors if necessary.
- Connect Wiring: Carefully connect the electrical wires from your power supply to the fixture's terminals. Ensure correct polarity (Live, Neutral, Earth). The fixture includes an earth wire for safety.

- Restore Power: Once installation is complete and all connections are secure, restore power at the circuit breaker.
5. Operating Instructions
The Lindby LED LANEA features an integrated motion sensor with adjustable settings.

Image 5.1: Motion sensor and adjustment controls.
Motion Sensor Settings:
- Detection Angle: The sensor has a detection angle of 90 degrees. Position the light to cover the desired area.
- Range (Bereik): The detection range can be adjusted between 2 and 8 meters. Use the 'Empf' (Sensitivity) dial to set the desired range.
- Illumination Duration (Tijd): The length of time the light remains on after motion detection can be varied between 5 seconds and 4 minutes. Use the 'Zeit' (Time) dial to set the desired duration.
The light will automatically switch on when motion is detected within the set range and angle, and will remain on for the configured duration.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Clean the fixture regularly with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the stainless steel finish or plastic components.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the fixture for any signs of damage, loose connections, or wear. If any issues are found, disconnect power and address them promptly.
- LEDs: The LED light source is integrated and not user-replaceable. If the LEDs fail, the entire fixture may need to be replaced.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Light does not turn on. | No power supply, faulty wiring, sensor malfunction. | Check circuit breaker. Verify wiring connections. Test sensor sensitivity. |
| Light stays on continuously. | Motion sensor sensitivity too high, continuous motion in detection area, faulty sensor. | Adjust sensor sensitivity (Empf) to a lower setting. Ensure no constant motion. |
| Light turns on too frequently. | Motion sensor sensitivity too high, environmental factors (e.g., moving branches). | Reduce sensor sensitivity (Empf). Adjust sensor angle if possible to avoid unwanted triggers. |
| Light turns off too quickly/slowly. | Illumination duration setting incorrect. | Adjust the 'Zeit' (Time) dial to the desired duration. |
