Setup

Unpacking and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove the FR-4x from its packaging. Inspect the instrument for any signs of damage that may have occurred during shipping. Retain all packaging materials for future transport or storage.

Power Connection

Connect the supplied AC adapter to the DC IN jack on the FR-4x and then plug it into a standard AC outlet. Ensure the power switch is in the OFF position before connecting.

Battery Installation (Optional)

The FR-4x can also be powered by AA-size rechargeable Ni-MH batteries (not included). Open the battery compartment cover on the underside of the instrument and insert eight AA batteries, observing the correct polarity.

Strap Attachment

Attach the shoulder straps to the strap pins located on the top and bottom of the instrument. Adjust the straps for comfortable playing posture.

Operating Instructions

Powering On/Off

To power on, press the power switch located on the control panel. To power off, press and hold the power switch until the display turns off.

Basic Sound Selection

Use the ACCORDION and ORCHESTRAL buttons to select different sound categories. Rotate the VALUE dial to browse through the available sounds within each category.

Bellows Control

The FR-4x features a pressure-sensing bellows system. The volume and expression of the sound are controlled by the movement of the bellows, similar to an acoustic accordion.

Recording

To record your performance, press the REC button. Play your desired passage, then press STOP to end the recording. Refer to the detailed manual for advanced recording features and playback options.

USB Connectivity

Connect the FR-4x to a computer using a USB Type B cable for MIDI communication or data transfer. This allows for software updates, sound library management, and use as a MIDI controller.
