The Compustar CS920-S system offers a reliable solution for remote vehicle control. It includes a CM900 control module and two 1-way remote controls with a maximum range of 1500 feet. Key features include remote start, keyless entry, and trunk pop output.

3. Setup and Installation

Professional installation is highly recommended for this product. Improper installation can lead to vehicle damage or system malfunction. Some vehicles may require additional parts, such as an immobilizer bypass module (e.g., BLADE-AL or ADS-ALCA), which are sold separately.

3.3. Immobilizer Bypass (If Required)

Many modern vehicles are equipped with an immobilizer system that prevents the engine from starting without the correct key. For remote start functionality, an immobilizer bypass module is often required. The CM900 module has a dedicated slot for a BLADE-AL module or can interface with other bypass modules like ADS-ALCA.

4. Operating Instructions

The CS920-S system uses a 1-way remote control. This means the remote sends commands to the vehicle, but the vehicle does not send confirmation back to the remote. The remote's LED will illuminate solid blue when a button is pressed.

4.2. Remote Start Operation

  1. Ensure the vehicle is in Park and the parking brake is engaged (if applicable).
  2. Press and hold the Remote Start button () on your remote for 2.5 seconds.
  3. The vehicle will start, and the parking lights will turn on and remain on for the duration of the remote start cycle.
  4. To turn off the vehicle during a remote start cycle, press and hold the Remote Start button () again for 2.5 seconds.

4.3. Entering the Vehicle After Remote Start

  1. Unlock the vehicle doors using the Unlock button (🔓) on your remote.
  2. Enter the vehicle. Do not press the brake pedal yet.
  3. Insert your key into the ignition and turn it to the 'ON' or 'RUN' position (do not turn to 'START').
  4. Press the brake pedal. The remote start system will disengage, and the vehicle will now be operating under key control.

If the range of your remote control decreases significantly or the LED indicator fails to illuminate, the battery may need replacement. Refer to the remote control's specific instructions for battery type and replacement procedure. Typically, this involves opening the remote casing and replacing the coin-cell battery.
