• Volume Settings: Some smartphones may have features like "suppress loud sounds" or "volume limit" enabled. If you experience low call volume while riding, please disable these functions on your smartphone.
• Operating Environment: Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight for prolonged periods, or corrosive liquids.
• Water Resistance: While designed for outdoor use, avoid submerging the device in water.

4. Setup

4.1 Installation in Helmet

1. Identify suitable locations inside your helmet for the left and right speakers. Ensure they are positioned over your ears for optimal sound.
2. Clean the helmet's inner surface where the speakers will be attached.
3. Attach the mounting Velcro pads to the back of each speaker.
4. Securely attach the speakers to the chosen locations inside your helmet.
5. Position the microphone boom so that the microphone is close to your mouth, ensuring clear voice pickup.

4.2 Bluetooth Pairing

1. Power On: Press and hold the Function Button (center button) for approximately 3 seconds until you hear a power-on prompt and the indicator light flashes.
2. Enter Pairing Mode: With the device powered on, press and hold the Function Button again for about 5-7 seconds until the indicator light flashes red and blue alternately, indicating it's in pairing mode.
3. Enable Bluetooth on Your Device: On your smartphone or other Bluetooth device, go to the Bluetooth settings and turn Bluetooth on.
4. Select "M1" or "L1M": In the list of available devices, select "M1" or "L1M" to connect. Once connected, the indicator light will typically show a slow blue flash, and you will hear a confirmation tone.
5. Connect Second Device (Optional): To connect a second device, repeat steps 2-4. The M1 supports simultaneous connection to two devices.

5. Operation

5.1 Power On/Off

• Power On: Press and hold the Function Button for approximately 3 seconds.
• Power Off: Press and hold the Function Button for approximately 5 seconds.

5.2 Music Playback

• Play/Pause: Short press the Function Button.
• Next Track: Short press the "+" button.
• Previous Track: Short press the "-" button.
• Volume Up: Long press the "+" button.
• Volume Down: Long press the "-" button.

5.3 Call Management

• Answer Call: Short press the Function Button when a call comes in.
• End Call: Short press the Function Button during a call.
• Reject Call: Long press the Function Button when a call comes in.
• Redial Last Number: Double-press the Function Button.
• Voice Assistant (Siri/Google Assistant): Triple-press the Function Button to activate your smartphone's voice assistant.

6. Charging and Battery

The NikoMaku M1 features a long-lasting battery for extended use.

• Charging Port: The device uses a Micro USB charging port.
• Charging Time: Approximately 1 hour for a full charge.
• Usage Time: Up to 10 hours of continuous music or talk time.
• Standby Time: Approximately 400 hours.
• Charging Indicator: The indicator light will typically show red during charging and turn off or change color when fully charged.
