6. Maintenance and Cleaning
6.1 Manual Defrost
This appliance features manual defrost. Over time, frost may accumulate on the interior cooling plate. To defrost, unplug the unit and remove all contents. Allow the frost to melt naturally. Place a towel at the bottom to absorb water. Once defrosted, wipe the interior dry and plug the unit back in.
6.2 Cleaning the Interior
Clean the interior with a mild detergent and warm water solution. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that may damage the surfaces. Remove shelves and clean them separately. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before returning contents.
6.3 Cleaning the Exterior
Wipe the exterior with a soft cloth and a mild detergent. For the glass door, use a glass cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals that could scratch or discolor the finish.
6.4 Door Seal Maintenance
Regularly check the door gasket for any signs of wear or damage. A damaged gasket can lead to poor cooling performance and increased energy consumption. Clean the gasket with warm, soapy water to ensure a tight seal.
