Random Mode (if applicable)
Some models may include a random mode feature, often indicated by a light bulb icon or "RND" button. This mode can turn lights ON and OFF at random intervals within a set period to give the appearance of occupancy. Consult the physical product's specific button labels for this function.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the timer's surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Power Outages: The timer has a built-in battery backup to retain settings during power outages. If the display is blank after a power outage, the battery may be depleted and require recharging (by restoring power) or replacement (if accessible).
- Inspection: Periodically check the timer and wall plate for any signs of damage or loose connections.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Timer display is blank. | No power to the timer; internal battery depleted. | Check circuit breaker. Ensure proper wiring. Allow time for internal battery to recharge once power is restored. |
| Timer does not turn ON/OFF at programmed times. | Incorrect time/day setting; programs not set correctly; manual override engaged. | Verify current time and day. Recheck programmed ON/OFF times. Ensure manual override is not active. |
| Connected device does not respond. | Loose wiring; faulty device; timer malfunction. | Turn off power and check wiring connections. Test the connected device with a standard switch. If issues persist, consult an electrician or contact support. |
| Daylight Saving Time not adjusting. | Feature not enabled or malfunction. | Ensure the timer is set to the correct region/mode for automatic DST adjustment (if applicable, though this model states it adjusts automatically). |
