7. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your fan.
7.1 General Cleaning
- Always unplug the fan before cleaning.
- Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces of the fan. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- For the fan blades and grilles, carefully remove the front grille (refer to assembly instructions in Section 5) and wipe the blades and grilles with a damp cloth. Ensure all parts are dry before reassembling.
7.2 Water Tank and Misting Unit Cleaning
- Empty the water tank after each use, especially if the fan will not be used for an extended period.
- Rinse the water tank with clean water. For mineral buildup, use a solution of white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio), let it soak for 30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
- Clean the misting nozzle and surrounding area with a soft brush or cotton swab to remove any mineral deposits.
- Ensure all water-related components are completely dry before storage to prevent mold or mildew growth.
7.3 Storage
When storing the fan, especially during off-season, ensure it is clean and dry. Store it in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging, to protect it from dust and damage.
