4. Installation

Installation should be performed by a qualified technician to ensure safety and proper functioning. Incorrect installation can void the warranty and pose safety risks.

Site Selection:

• Mount the water heater vertically on a sturdy wall, close to the point of use to minimize heat loss.
• Ensure adequate clearance around the unit for maintenance and ventilation.
• The unit dimensions are approximately 24 cm (Width) x 34 cm (Height) x 19.2 cm (Depth). Plan mounting location accordingly.

Plumbing Connections:

1. Connect the cold water inlet to the designated inlet pipe of the water heater.
2. Connect the hot water outlet to your hot water tap.
3. Ensure all connections are tight and leak-free.
4. Open the cold water supply valve and allow the tank to fill completely. Check for any leaks.

Electrical Connections:

1. The water heater requires a 230V AC, 3000W power supply.
2. It is recommended to use a dedicated 16A or 32A power socket and MCB (Miniature Circuit Breaker) for this appliance to prevent overloading and ensure safety.
3. Ensure proper earthing is established.
4. Do not use extension cords or adapters.

5. Operation

Operating your Orient Electric Aura Neo Instant Water Heater is straightforward:

1. Power On: Ensure the water heater is filled with water (as per installation steps) before switching on the power supply. Turn on the main power switch for the water heater.
2. Heating Indication: The neon indicator light on the unit will illuminate, indicating that the heating element is active and water is being heated.
3. Wait for Heating: Allow approximately 1-2 minutes for the water to reach the desired temperature. The indicator light may change color or turn off once the set temperature is reached, depending on the model.
4. Dispensing Hot Water: Open the hot water tap at a normal to slow flow rate. This allows the instant water heater sufficient time to continuously warm the water as it flows through. If the tap is fully opened at maximum speed, the water heater may not have enough time to heat the water to the optimal temperature.
5. Power Off: After use, turn off the main power switch to the water heater.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your water heater. Always disconnect the power supply before performing any maintenance.

• Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the water heater with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Descaling: In areas with hard water, mineral deposits (scale) can accumulate on the heating element, reducing efficiency. It is recommended to have the heating element descaled periodically by a qualified technician. The frequency depends on water hardness and usage.
• Pressure Release Valve Check: Periodically check the Pressure Release Valve (PRV) for any blockages or leaks. Do not tamper with the PRV.
• Professional Inspection: It is advisable to have the water heater inspected by a qualified service technician at least once a year.
