Before your first use, ensure all components are present and in good condition.

  1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove the Gymstick bar, resistance tubes, training poster, and carrying bag from the packaging.
  2. Assemble the Bar (if disassembled): The Gymstick bar may come in two parts for portability. Connect the two bar sections by aligning the ends and pushing them firmly together until they click into place. Ensure the connection is secure.
  3. Attach Resistance Tubes: The resistance tubes are pre-attached to the bar. Ensure the foot loops at the ends of the tubes are securely fastened.

4. Operating Instructions

The Gymstick Original 2.0 is designed for a wide range of exercises. Always consult the included training poster for exercise examples and proper form. Here are general guidelines:

  • Foot Placement: Place your feet through the foot loops at the ends of the resistance tubes. Ensure the loops are positioned comfortably and securely under your feet. The closer your feet are together, the less resistance; the wider apart, the more resistance.
  • Grip: Hold the bar with both hands, ensuring a firm and comfortable grip. Your grip can vary depending on the exercise.
  • Resistance Adjustment: Resistance is adjusted by how much you stretch the tubes. For more resistance, shorten the tubes by wrapping them around the bar or by widening your foot stance. For less resistance, lengthen the tubes.
  • Controlled Movements: Perform all exercises with slow, controlled movements. Avoid jerky motions that can strain muscles or damage the equipment.
  • Breathing: Breathe naturally throughout your workout. Exhale during the exertion phase and inhale during the recovery phase.
  • Warm-up and Cool-down: Always begin your workout with a proper warm-up and conclude with a cool-down and stretching.

5. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your Gymstick Original 2.0.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the bar and resistance tubes with a damp cloth after each use. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the materials.
  • Storage: Store the Gymstick in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use the provided carrying bag for convenient and protective storage.
  • Inspection: Regularly inspect the resistance tubes for any signs of wear, such as cracks, tears, or thinning. Check the bar for any structural damage. Replace components immediately if damage is detected.
  • Avoid Sharp Objects: Keep the Gymstick away from sharp objects or rough surfaces that could cut or abrade the resistance tubes.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Gymstick Original 2.0, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Issue: Resistance feels too low or too high.
    • Solution: Adjust your foot stance. Wider stance increases resistance, narrower stance decreases it. You can also wrap the tubes around the bar to shorten them for increased resistance.
  • Issue: Resistance tubes show signs of wear.
    • Solution: Discontinue use immediately. Contact Gymstick customer support for replacement tubes. Using damaged tubes can lead to injury.
  • Issue: Bar feels unstable or makes noise.
    • Solution: Ensure the bar sections (if applicable) are fully connected and locked. Inspect the bar for any cracks or damage. If damage is present, discontinue use and contact support.
