Important Safety Information

Observe the following safety precautions to prevent fire, electric shock, or injury:

Setup

1. Unpacking

Carefully remove the clock radio from its packaging. Ensure all components are present: the ICF-C1 unit and the AC power cord.

2. Power Connection

Connect the AC power cord to the AC IN jack on the back of the unit, then plug it into a wall outlet. The clock radio will power on.

3. Battery Backup Installation

For backup power during outages, insert one AA battery (not included) into the battery compartment located on the bottom of the unit. Ensure correct polarity (+/-).

4. Antenna Setup

For optimal FM reception, extend the FM wire antenna fully. For AM reception, rotate the unit for the best signal.

Operating Instructions

1. Setting the Clock

  1. Press and hold the TIME SET button.
  2. While holding TIME SET, press the HOUR button to adjust the hour.
  3. While holding TIME SET, press the MINUTE button to adjust the minute.
  4. Release the TIME SET button to confirm. The time display is in 12-hour format (AM/PM indicator).

2. Setting the Alarm

  1. Press and hold the ALARM SET button.
  2. While holding ALARM SET, press the HOUR button to adjust the alarm hour.
  3. While holding ALARM SET, press the MINUTE button to adjust the alarm minute.
  4. Release the ALARM SET button.
  5. Slide the ALARM MODE switch to RADIO (to wake to radio) or BUZZER (to wake to buzzer).

4. Snooze Function

When the alarm sounds, press the large SNOOZE/BRIGHTNESS button to temporarily stop the alarm. The alarm will sound again after approximately 10 minutes.

5. Display Brightness Control

Press the SNOOZE/BRIGHTNESS button (when the alarm is not sounding) to cycle through the 3-level brightness settings for the display.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning the Unit

Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.

2. Battery Replacement

Replace the AA backup battery annually or when the clock display is blank during a power outage. Ensure the unit is connected to AC power when replacing the battery to avoid losing time settings.

Troubleshooting

ProblemSolution
No power/Display is off.Check if the AC power cord is securely plugged into the wall outlet. Ensure there is power to the outlet.
Alarm does not sound.Verify that the alarm time is set correctly. Ensure the ALARM MODE switch is set to RADIO or BUZZER, not OFF. Check radio volume if set to wake to radio.
Poor radio reception.Extend the FM wire antenna fully. For AM, rotate the unit for better signal. Avoid placing the unit near electronic devices that may cause interference.
Clock loses time.Ensure the backup battery is installed and fresh. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
