The gas spring arm allows for smooth and effortless vertical height adjustments. Simply push or pull the monitor to your desired height. The maximum height is up to 23.6 inches, and the maximum extension is up to 20.3 inches.
Gas Spring Tension Adjustment

Image: Close-up showing the gas spring tension adjustment screw and instructions for lighter vs. heavier monitors.
If your monitor sags or floats, you need to adjust the gas spring tension. Use the provided Allen wrench to turn the adjustment screw:
- Turn clockwise: For lighter monitors (to reduce tension).
- Turn counter-clockwise: For heavier monitors (to increase tension).
Adjust gradually until the monitor stays at your desired height without drifting.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and smooth operation of your WALI monitor arm.
- Cleaning: Wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Periodic Checks: Periodically check all screws and connections to ensure they are secure. Retighten if necessary.
- Gas Spring: The gas spring is designed for long-term use and generally requires no maintenance. Do not attempt to disassemble the gas spring cylinder.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your monitor arm, refer to the following common problems and solutions.
- Problem: Monitor sags or does not stay at desired height.
Solution: The gas spring tension needs adjustment. Turn the gas spring adjustment screw counter-clockwise to increase tension for heavier monitors. - Problem: Monitor floats up too easily or cannot be pushed down.
Solution: The gas spring tension is too high. Turn the gas spring adjustment screw clockwise to decrease tension for lighter monitors. - Problem: Monitor wobbles or feels unstable.
Solution: Ensure all mounting screws (VESA plate to monitor, arm to pole, clamp/grommet to desk) are securely tightened. Check if the desk surface is stable. - Problem: Monitor does not fit the VESA plate.
Solution: Verify your monitor's VESA pattern (75x75mm or 100x100mm) matches the arm's compatibility.
