Setup and Assembly

Attaching the Battery:

  1. Ensure the battery pack is fully charged.
  2. Align the battery pack with the battery port on the base of the sander handle.
  3. Slide the battery pack into the tool until it clicks securely into place.

Attaching Sanding Sheets:

The sander utilizes a hook and loop system for easy paper changes.

  1. Ensure the sander is turned off and the battery is removed.
  2. Align the holes on the sanding sheet with the holes on the sander's base plate. This is crucial for effective dust collection.
  3. Press the sanding sheet firmly onto the base plate to secure it.

Using the Detail Finger Attachment:

The included detail finger attachment can be interchanged to sand hard-to-reach spaces.

  1. Remove the standard sanding pad if attached.
  2. Align the detail finger attachment with the corresponding slot on the sander.
  3. Securely attach the detail finger, ensuring it is firmly seated.

Operating Instructions

Powering On/Off:

The sander features a conveniently located start-stop switch on the top of the handle.

  • To turn ON, slide the switch to the "I" position.
  • To turn OFF, slide the switch to the "O" position.

Sanding Techniques:

  • Hold the sander firmly with both hands.
  • Apply light, even pressure. Excessive pressure will not speed up sanding and may damage the workpiece or the tool.
  • Move the sander in long, overlapping strokes.
  • For optimal dust collection, ensure the sanding sheet's holes align with the base plate.

Maintenance

Dust Collection:

The sander features a dust collection system to keep the work surface clean. The dust bag should be emptied regularly, ideally after every 5-10 minutes of wood sanding.

  • To empty the dust bag, firmly pull it off the dust port.
  • Shake out the accumulated dust.
  • Reattach the dust bag securely to the dust port.

Note: The dust bag should not be used for metal sanding. A face mask or respirator is recommended when sanding metal.

Cleaning:

Regularly clean the tool's ventilation slots to prevent overheating. Use a soft brush or compressed air. Do not use water or chemical cleaners.

Storage:

Store the tool in a dry, secure location out of reach of children. Remove the battery pack before storing for extended periods.
