2. Product Overview

2.2 Device Layout

3. Setup
3.1 Inserting the MicroSD Card
- Ensure the dashcam is powered off.
- Locate the MicroSD card slot on the device.
- Insert the MicroSD card with the gold contacts facing the back of the dashcam until it clicks into place.
- To remove, gently push the card until it clicks out.
Note: Use a high-speed MicroSD card (Class 10 or higher) for optimal recording performance. Format the card regularly to maintain performance.
3.2 Mounting the Dashcam
- Clean the chosen area on your windshield thoroughly. Ensure it does not obstruct your view.
- Attach the adhesive mounting bracket to the windshield. Press firmly for at least 30 seconds.
- Slide the dashcam onto the mounting bracket until it locks securely.
- Adjust the lens angle to ensure a clear view of the road ahead.
3.3 Power Connection
- Connect the cigarette lighter power cable to the dashcam's power input port.
- Plug the other end of the cable into your vehicle's 12V cigarette lighter socket.
- Route the cable safely to avoid interference with driving controls.
The dashcam will typically power on and begin recording automatically when the vehicle's ignition is turned on.
3.4 Initial Settings (Date and Time)
- After powering on, press the MENU button to enter the settings.
- Use the Up/Down buttons to navigate to "Date/Time" or a similar setting.
- Press OK to select.
- Adjust the year, month, day, hour, and minute using the Up/Down buttons and confirm each entry with OK.
- Exit the menu by pressing MENU again.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Automatic Recording
Once powered on, the DRY-ST1000C will automatically begin continuous loop recording. The recording indicator (usually a red dot or "REC" text) will be visible on the screen.
- When the memory card is full, the oldest unprotected files will be overwritten.
- Files protected by the G-sensor or manual recording will not be overwritten.
4.2 Manual Event Recording
To manually save a segment of video as an event file (protected from loop recording overwrite):
- During recording, press the OK button.
- A short video segment (e.g., 10 seconds before and 20 seconds after the button press) will be saved in a protected folder.
4.3 G-Sensor Functionality
The built-in G-sensor detects sudden impacts or rapid changes in vehicle motion. When triggered, it automatically saves the current video segment as a protected event file, preventing it from being overwritten.
- The sensitivity of the G-sensor can be adjusted in the settings menu.
- High sensitivity may result in frequent event recordings from minor bumps.
4.4 Playback Mode
- While the dashcam is on, press the MODE button to switch to playback mode.
- Use the Up/Down buttons to browse through recorded video files.
- Press OK to start playback of the selected file.
- Press OK again to pause/resume playback.
- Press MODE to exit playback mode.
4.5 Menu Navigation
The menu allows you to configure various settings of the dashcam.
- Press the MENU button to enter the settings menu.
- Use the Up/Down buttons to scroll through menu options (e.g., Resolution, Loop Recording, G-Sensor Sensitivity, Date/Time, Format SD Card).
- Press OK to select an option or enter a sub-menu.
- Use Up/Down to change values or select sub-options, then OK to confirm.
- Press MENU to go back to the previous menu level or exit the menu entirely.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning the Device
- Wipe the dashcam body with a soft, dry cloth.
- For the lens, use a specialized lens cleaning cloth to avoid scratches.
- Do not use chemical cleaners or abrasive materials.
5.2 Formatting the MicroSD Card
Regularly formatting the MicroSD card (e.g., once a month) helps maintain its performance and prevents data corruption.
- Insert the MicroSD card into the dashcam.
- Power on the dashcam and enter the MENU.
- Navigate to the "Format" or "Format SD Card" option.
- Press OK and confirm the action.
- Warning: Formatting will erase all data on the card. Back up any important files before proceeding.
5.3 Firmware Updates
Periodically check the Yupiteru official website for available firmware updates. Firmware updates can improve performance, add features, or fix bugs. Follow the instructions provided with the firmware update package carefully.
6. Troubleshooting
