1. Introduction

The iSTIM EV-805 is a versatile Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) and Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) combo unit designed for pain relief and muscle conditioning. TENS therapy is a non-invasive, drug-free method that delivers stable electrical pulses to stimulate nerve fibers, effectively blocking pain signals to the brain and increasing natural endorphins. 3.3. Electrode Pad Technology

The included electrode pads utilize high-grade SEKISUI Japanese Gel, known for its biocompatibility and superior conductivity. This ensures efficient and comfortable delivery of electrical stimulation to the skin. The pads are designed with a super soft fabric layer and carbon fiber wire for smooth attachment and enhanced conductivity. It is important to NOT USE Extra Electrode Gel with these pads.

4. Setup

4.1. Charging the Unit

Before first use, fully charge the iSTIM EV-805 unit using the provided USB charger and lead. Connect the USB lead to the unit and a compatible USB power source. The charging indicator will show the charging status.

4.2. Connecting Lead Wires and Electrode Pads

1. Ensure the iSTIM EV-805 unit is turned off.
2. Insert the pin connectors of the lead wires into the output jacks (CH1, CH2, CH3, CH4) on the top of the unit.
3. Attach the other end of the lead wires to the electrode pads. Ensure a secure connection.
4. Peel the electrode pads from their protective liner.
5. Apply the electrode pads firmly to clean, dry skin in the desired treatment area. Refer to the included Electrode Placement Guide for optimal placement for various conditions.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Control Panel Overview

5.2. Basic Operation

1. Power On/Off: Press and hold the Power button to turn the unit on or off.
2. Select Mode: Press the Mode button to cycle between TENS and EMS modes, and then through the available programs (P01-P24) or manual modes (B, N, M, SD1, SD2, C, S, A).
3. Adjust Settings: Use the Up/Down arrow buttons to adjust parameters such as Pulse Rate, Pulse Width, and Treatment Time. Press the SET button to confirm a setting and move to the next adjustable parameter.
4. Adjust Intensity: Use the individual Up/Down arrow buttons for each channel (CH1-CH4) to increase or decrease the stimulation intensity. Adjust gradually to a comfortable level.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Electrode Pad Care

• After each use, place the electrode pads back on their protective liner.
• Store pads in the provided sealable bag to prevent drying out and maintain adhesive quality.
• Do not use additional electrode gel, as it may damage the Japanese gel on the pads.
• Replace pads when they lose their adhesiveness or if you notice reduced conductivity.

6.2. Unit Cleaning and Storage

• Wipe the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water.
• Store the unit and accessories in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
