  2. Placement: Place the dehumidifier on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is at least 20 cm (8 inches) of clear space around the air inlet and outlet grilles to allow for proper air circulation. Avoid placing the unit near heat sources, in direct sunlight, or in areas with excessive dust.
  3. Power Connection: Insert the power cable into the power input socket on the back of the unit, then plug the other end into a suitable electrical outlet (220-240 V / 50-60 Hz).

5. Operating Instructions

Operating your Klarstein Drybest 2000 2G Dehumidifier is straightforward:

  1. Power On/Off: Locate the ON/OFF switch on the back of the unit. Flip the switch to the 'ON' position to start the dehumidifier. The 'ON' LED indicator on the front panel will illuminate. To turn off the unit, flip the switch to the 'OFF' position.
  2. Dehumidification Process: Once powered on, the unit will begin to draw in humid air, condense the moisture, and collect it in the water tank. The dry air is then released back into the room. The unit can collect up to 700 ml of water per day.
  3. Ionizer Function: The Drybest 2000 2G features an integrated ionizer. This function operates automatically when the unit is on, helping to eliminate dust particles and reduce unpleasant odors in the air. The 'AIR FRESH' LED indicator will be lit when the ionizer is active.
  4. Water Tank Full Indicator & Auto Shut-off: When the water tank reaches its maximum capacity of 2 liters, the 'FULL' LED indicator on the front panel will illuminate, and the unit will automatically shut off to prevent overflow.
  5. Emptying the Water Tank: When the 'FULL' indicator lights up, carefully pull out the water tank from the unit (refer to Figure 3). Empty the collected water. Reinsert the empty tank firmly back into the unit. The dehumidifier will automatically resume operation once the tank is correctly reinserted.

6. Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the efficient operation and extend the lifespan of your dehumidifier.

6.1 Cleaning the Exterior

  • Always unplug the unit before cleaning.
  • Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish.
  • Ensure no water enters the air inlets, outlets, or control panel.

6.2 Cleaning the Water Tank

  • Remove the water tank from the unit.
  • Rinse the tank with clean water. If there is any residue or odor, you can use a mild detergent and a soft brush, then rinse thoroughly.
  • Dry the tank completely before reinserting it into the dehumidifier.

6.3 Air Filter (if applicable)

While this model does not feature a removable air filter, keeping the air inlet and outlet grilles clear of dust and debris is important. You can gently vacuum these areas periodically.
