4. Product Overview

4.1 Controls and Indicators

Familiarize yourself with the speaker's control panel:

  • Power Button: Press to turn the speaker on or off.
  • Volume Up (+): Increases playback volume.
  • Volume Down (-): Decreases playback volume.
  • Bluetooth Pairing Button: Initiates Bluetooth pairing mode.
  • Call Button: Answers or ends phone calls. Also activates voice assistant.

  • IP67 Rating: Fully protected against dust ingress and can withstand immersion in 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes.

5. Getting Started

5.1 Charging the Speaker

Before first use, fully charge the speaker. A full charge provides up to 13 hours of continuous playback.

  1. Open the protective cover on the side of the speaker to access the charging port.
  2. Connect the supplied USB cable to the speaker's charging port.
  3. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a USB power adapter (not supplied) or a computer's USB port.
  4. The charging indicator light will illuminate. It will turn off or change color when charging is complete.
  5. Once charged, securely close the protective cover to maintain water and dust resistance.

5.3 Bluetooth Pairing

Pair your speaker with a Bluetooth-enabled device to stream audio wirelessly.

  1. Ensure the speaker is powered on.
  2. Press and hold the Bluetooth Pairing button (Bluetooth symbol) until the Bluetooth indicator light flashes rapidly. This indicates pairing mode.
  3. On your device (smartphone, tablet, computer), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  4. Select "Denon Envaya" or "DSB-250BT" from the list of found devices.
  5. Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator light will glow steadily.

5.4 Envaya Link (Stereo Pairing)

Connect two DSB-250BT speakers for a stereo sound experience.

  1. Ensure both speakers are powered on and not connected to any other Bluetooth device.
  2. On the first speaker (which will be the left channel), press and hold the Bluetooth Pairing button until the indicator flashes.
  3. On the second speaker (which will be the right channel), press and hold the Bluetooth Pairing button until the indicator flashes.
  4. The speakers will automatically search for each other and link. Once linked, the indicator lights on both speakers will glow steadily.
  5. Now, pair your device to the first speaker as described in Section 5.3. Audio will play in stereo across both speakers.

5.5 Auxiliary Input

Connect devices without Bluetooth using a 3.5mm audio cable (not supplied).

  1. Open the protective cover on the side of the speaker.
  2. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable to the speaker's AUX input.
  3. Connect the other end to the headphone jack or audio output of your device.
  4. The speaker will automatically switch to AUX input mode.
  5. Adjust volume on both the speaker and your connected device.
  6. Securely close the protective cover when not in use.

6. Operation

6.1 Playing Music

Once paired via Bluetooth or connected via AUX, simply start playback on your source device. The speaker will output the audio.

When connected via Bluetooth, the speaker can be used for hands-free calls.

6.4 Voice Assistant Compatibility (Siri)

For iPhone users, the speaker supports Siri voice commands when paired via Bluetooth.

ProblemSolution
Speaker does not power on.Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the speaker to a power source using the USB cable.
Cannot pair via Bluetooth.
  • Ensure the speaker is in pairing mode (flashing Bluetooth indicator).
  • Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
  • Move the speaker closer to your device.
  • Forget "Denon Envaya" from your device's Bluetooth settings and try pairing again.
  • Restart both the speaker and your device.
No sound or low volume.
  • Increase the volume on both the speaker and your source device.
  • Ensure the speaker is correctly paired or connected via AUX.
  • Check if the source device is playing audio.
Sound distortion.
  • Reduce the volume on both the speaker and your source device.
  • Ensure the audio source quality is good.
  • Move the speaker closer to the Bluetooth source to avoid interference.
Envaya Link not working.
  • Ensure both speakers are powered on and not connected to any other Bluetooth device.
  • Repeat the Envaya Link pairing steps carefully (Section 5.4).
  • Try resetting both speakers.
