1. Introduction
The Panasonic AU-EVA1 is a compact 5.7K Super 35mm cinema camera designed for documentary, cinema, and live event productions. It features a 5.7K sensor that oversamples internal recordings, producing high-resolution images with reduced noise. The camera incorporates Panasonic's Dual Native ISO technology, offering sensitivities of 800 and 2500 ISO to maintain a high signal-to-noise ratio in various lighting conditions. An EF lens mount provides compatibility with a wide range of interchangeable lenses. The camera also includes an electronically controlled ND filter wheel (2, 4, and 6 stops) and a defeatable IR-cut filter for enhanced creative control. Video is recorded with 10-bit, 4:2:2 sampling at bit-rates up to 150 Mbps for smooth gradations.

4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
- Camera Body: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the camera body. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents.
- Lens: Use a lens brush or air blower to remove dust. For smudges, use a specialized lens cleaning solution and a microfiber cloth.
- LCD Monitor: Gently wipe the screen with a soft, lint-free cloth. Do not apply excessive pressure.
- Sensor: Sensor cleaning should only be performed by authorized service personnel or experienced users with appropriate tools to avoid damage.
4.2 Storage
When not in use, store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, high humidity, and extreme temperatures. Remove the battery if storing for extended periods. Use a protective case to prevent dust and physical damage.

5. Troubleshooting
5.1 Power Issues
- Camera does not power on: Ensure the battery is fully charged and correctly inserted. Check the AC adapter connection if using external power.
- Battery drains quickly: Reduce screen brightness, disable unused features (e.g., Wi-Fi), or use a fresh, fully charged battery.
5.2 Recording Problems
- Recording stops unexpectedly: Verify that the SDXC card has sufficient free space and is rated for the required write speed (UHS-I compatible). Format the card if necessary (this will erase all data).
- Poor image quality: Check lens cleanliness, focus settings, exposure (ISO, aperture, ND filter), and white balance. Ensure correct resolution and bit-rate settings are selected.
5.3 Display Issues
- No image on LCD: Ensure the monitor cable is securely connected. Check monitor brightness settings.
