Setup and First Use
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the kettle and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, fill the kettle with clean water up to the MAX level. Boil the water (100°C setting) and then discard it. Repeat this process 2-3 times to remove any manufacturing residues.
- Placement: Place the power base on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface. Ensure the power cord is not dangling or in contact with hot surfaces.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded 110 Volt electrical outlet.
Operating Instructions
- Filling the Kettle:
- Remove the kettle from its power base.
- Open the lid.
- Fill the kettle with fresh, cold water. Do not fill below the MIN mark (0.5L) or above the MAX mark (2.0L) indicated on the water level window.
- Close the lid securely.
- Placing on Base: Place the kettle firmly onto its power base.
- Selecting Temperature:
- For boiling water (e.g., for coffee, instant noodles), press the switch to the 100°C position. The indicator light will illuminate.
- For heating water to 70°C (e.g., for specific teas, chimarrão), press the switch to the 70°C position. The indicator light will illuminate.
- Heating Process: The kettle will begin heating the water. The indicator light will remain on during the heating cycle.
- Automatic Shut-off: Once the water reaches the selected temperature (100°C or 70°C), the kettle will automatically switch off, and the indicator light will extinguish.
- Serving: Carefully lift the kettle from its base and pour the hot water. Exercise caution as the kettle body will be hot.
- Reheating: If the kettle has recently boiled, allow a few moments for the internal thermostat to reset before attempting to re-boil.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your kettle.
- Before Cleaning: Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Never immerse the kettle or its power base in water or any other liquid.
- Interior Cleaning:
- Rinse the interior with clean water.
- For stubborn stains, use a soft brush or sponge.
- Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas.
- Fill the kettle with a mixture of one part white vinegar and two parts water.
- Boil the mixture (100°C setting) and let it stand for at least 30 minutes, or longer for heavy deposits.
- Discard the mixture and rinse the kettle thoroughly with fresh water several times to remove any vinegar odor.
- Alternatively, use a commercial descaling solution designed for electric kettles, following the product's instructions.
- Filter Cleaning: The spout filter can be removed for cleaning. Rinse it under running water and reattach it securely.
