5. Battery Installation
Each Capstone Motion Sensor LED Light requires 3 AA batteries. Batteries are not included and must be purchased separately.
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the light unit.
- Open the cover by sliding or unscrewing it (refer to the specific design of your unit).
- Insert 3 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Securely close the battery compartment cover.
Note: For optimal performance and longevity, use high-quality alkaline batteries.
6. Installation
The Capstone Motion Sensor LED Lights are designed for easy wall mounting. No electrical wiring is required.
- Choose a Location: Select a desired location for your light. Consider areas where motion detection is beneficial, such as pathways, stairs, porches, or entryways. Ensure the location allows for optimal light distribution and motion sensor coverage (up to 12 meters).
- Mark Drilling Points: Hold the light unit against the wall at the chosen height and mark the positions for the mounting screws.
- Drill Pilot Holes: Drill pilot holes at the marked positions. If installing on drywall or masonry, insert the provided wall anchors.
- Mount the Light: Align the light unit with the pilot holes/anchors and secure it using the provided screws. Ensure the light is firmly attached to the surface.

7. Operation
Your Capstone Motion Sensor LED Light features dual operating modes. A switch or button on the unit allows you to select between these modes.
7.1. Dual Mode Lighting (D2D/MS)
- In this mode, the light functions as a low-level guide light.
- It automatically turns on at dusk and remains on at a low brightness level.
- When motion is detected, the light activates to full brightness.
- The light automatically turns off at dawn.
7.2. Motion Sensor Only (MS)
- In this mode, the light remains off during the night.
- It activates to full brightness only when motion is detected in its sensing range.
- After a period of no motion, the light will turn off automatically.

8. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the light fixture with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
