1. Introduction

4. Setup

4.1. Powering On

The IBS-TH1 requires batteries for operation. To power on the device for the first time:

1. Open the back cover of the main unit.
2. Remove any insulating strip from the battery compartment.
3. Insert 2 x AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. (Note: Some models may use a CR2477 battery, as mentioned in user reviews, despite specifications indicating no batteries required. Please check your specific unit.)
4. Close the back cover. The device should switch on automatically.

4.2. App Installation

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Monitoring Data

Once connected to the Engbird app, you can view real-time temperature and humidity readings. The app displays data from either the internal sensor or the external probe, depending on which is active.

5.2. Data Logging and Export

• The device automatically logs data at the set sampling interval.
• You can adjust the sampling interval (10s, 30s, 1min, 2min, 5min, 10min, 30min) within the app settings. Note that changing the interval will affect the maximum data storage duration.
• Historical data can be viewed as graphs within the app.
• The app allows you to export historical data for further analysis.

5.3. Setting Alarms

You can set high and low temperature and humidity alarm thresholds in the Engbird app. If the readings go outside these thresholds, you will receive notifications on your smartphone.

5.4. Unit Switching

Switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature units directly within the Engbird app settings.

6. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the device clean with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Battery Replacement: When the battery indicator in the app or on the device shows low power, replace the batteries promptly to ensure continuous monitoring.
• Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
