Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to properly set up and install your motion sensor lights.
1. Battery Installation/Verification
The lights come with 3 AA batteries pre-installed in each unit. To access the battery compartment:
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the light unit.
- Use a small screwdriver or your thumbnail to turn the lock screw counter-clockwise to open.
- Ensure the 3 AA batteries are correctly inserted, matching the polarity indicators (+/-).
- Replace the cover and turn the lock screw clockwise to secure it.

2. Selecting a Mounting Location
Choose a location that provides optimal motion detection and light coverage. Consider areas such as:
- Entrances (doors, gates)
- Staircases or steps
- Walkways, driveways, or patios
- Garages or sheds
- Any indoor or outdoor area requiring temporary illumination.
Ensure the chosen location allows for clear detection of movement within the desired range and is free from obstructions that might block the sensor.
3. Mounting the Lights
The lights can be mounted using the included screws and anchors, or placed on a flat surface.
- Hold the light unit against the desired mounting surface and mark the screw holes.
- For drywall or masonry, drill pilot holes and insert the plastic anchors.
- Align the light unit with the holes and secure it using the provided screws. Do not overtighten.
- Alternatively, the flat base allows for freestanding placement on shelves, tables, or other flat surfaces.

Operating Instructions
Each light unit features a three-position switch to select the desired operating mode.
- OFF: The light is completely off and will not activate. This mode is useful for storage or when light is not needed.
- Motion Sensor Only (MS): In this mode, the light will remain off during daylight hours. At night, it will activate to full brightness only when motion is detected within its sensor range. After a period of no motion, the light will turn off.
- Dusk-to-Dawn (D2D/MS): This mode provides a low-level guide light that automatically turns on at dusk and remains on throughout the night. When motion is detected, the light will temporarily switch to full brightness. After motion ceases, it will return to the low-level guide light. This mode is ideal for continuous ambient lighting with bright bursts when needed.
To change the operating mode, simply slide the switch located on the side of the light unit to your preferred setting.
Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: When the light output diminishes or the unit stops functioning, replace all three AA batteries with new alkaline batteries. Refer to the "Battery Installation/Verification" section for instructions.
- Cleaning: Wipe the light's surface with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the finish or electronic components.
- Sensor Cleaning: Ensure the motion sensor lens is clean and free from dust or debris to maintain optimal performance.
- Water Resistance: While designed for outdoor use, ensure the battery compartment cover is always securely fastened to maintain its waterproof integrity.
