Safety Instructions

To prevent injury or damage, always follow these basic safety precautions:

  • Read and understand all instructions before installing or using this appliance.
  • Ensure the aquarium is placed on a stable, level, and sturdy surface capable of supporting its full weight when filled with water.
  • Do not operate any appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, or if it is malfunctioning or has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
  • To avoid the possibility of the appliance plug or receptacle getting wet, position the aquarium to one side of a wall-mounted receptacle to prevent water from dripping onto the receptacle or plug.
  • Always unplug the appliance from the outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
  • This product is intended for indoor household use only.
  • Never pull the cord to disconnect from the outlet. Grasp the plug and pull to disconnect.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.

Setup

1. Placement

Select a suitable location for your aquarium. It should be on a stable, level surface, away from direct sunlight, heat sources (like radiators), and areas with significant temperature fluctuations. Direct sunlight can lead to excessive algae growth and temperature instability.

2. Cleaning

Rinse the aquarium tank and all filter components with clean, fresh water. Do not use soap, detergents, or chemical cleaners, as residues can be harmful to aquatic life.

3. Filter Installation

Ensure the filter media (mechanical sponge, chemical carbon, biological media) is correctly placed within the integrated filter compartment according to the diagrams provided with the filter media packaging (if applicable). The pump should be fully submerged when the aquarium is filled.

4. Water Filling

Fill the aquarium with treated water. Tap water must be treated with a dechlorinator/water conditioner to remove chlorine and chloramines, which are toxic to fish. Ensure the water temperature is appropriate for your chosen aquatic species.

5. Electrical Connection

Connect the power adapter to the aquarium's electrical input, then plug it into a suitable electrical outlet. The unit is Bivolt (110V/220V) and will automatically adjust to your local voltage. Ensure a drip loop is formed with the power cord to prevent water from traveling along the cord and reaching the outlet.

6. Aquarium Cycling

Before introducing fish, it is crucial to allow the aquarium to cycle. This process establishes beneficial bacteria that convert toxic ammonia and nitrite into less harmful nitrate. This typically takes several weeks. Consult a reliable guide on aquarium nitrogen cycling for detailed instructions.

Operating Instructions

LED Lighting Operation

The integrated 3W LED light features a programmable timer. To operate:

  1. Press the light button once for a 4-hour illumination cycle.
  2. Press the light button twice for an 8-hour illumination cycle.
  3. Press the light button three times for a 12-hour illumination cycle.
  4. Press the light button four times to turn the light off.

Maintaining a consistent light cycle is vital for the health of your fish and to control algae growth.

Filtration System

The integrated filter provides continuous mechanical, chemical, and biological filtration. The flow rate can be adjusted between 100-200 L/h to suit the needs of your aquarium inhabitants. Ensure the filter pump is always fully submerged when operating.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance is essential for a healthy aquarium environment.

Daily Maintenance

  • Observe fish behavior and health.
  • Check water temperature.
  • Feed fish sparingly, only what they can consume in a few minutes.

Weekly Maintenance

  • Water Change: Perform a 25% water change. Use a gravel vacuum to remove debris from the substrate. Always use dechlorinated and temperature-matched water for refills.
  • Filter Cleaning: Rinse mechanical filter media (sponges) in old aquarium water (removed during the water change) to preserve beneficial bacteria. Do not rinse under tap water.

Monthly Maintenance

  • Replace Chemical Media: Replace chemical filter media (e.g., activated carbon) as per manufacturer recommendations, typically every 2-4 weeks.
  • Aquarium Cleaning: Clean the inside and outside of the aquarium glass to remove algae and water spots.
  • Equipment Inspection: Inspect all equipment (pump, light, cords) for any signs of wear or damage.

The hinged lid provides easy access for feeding and maintenance. The rear opening is designed to allow for the passage of cables for additional equipment, such as a heater (not included), without needing to remove the entire lid.
