Introduction

Welcome to the user manual for your Cheerwing CW10 Mini Drone. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your drone to ensure a safe and enjoyable flight experience. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the drone.

Setup

1. Battery Installation and Charging

1. Ensure the drone's power switch is in the OFF position.
2. Connect the drone battery to the USB charging cable.
3. Plug the USB charging cable into a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.
4. The charging indicator will show the charging status. Once fully charged, disconnect the battery.
5. Insert the charged battery into the drone's battery compartment, ensuring it is securely connected.

2. App Download and Connection

The Cheerwing CW10 Mini Drone utilizes a WiFi FPV system for real-time video transmission and app control.

1. Scan the QR code in the manual or search for the "Cheerwing FPV" app on your smartphone's app store (iOS/Android).
2. Install the app.
3. Power on the drone.
4. On your smartphone, go to WiFi settings and connect to the drone's WiFi network (usually named "Cheerwing-XXXXXX").
5. Open the Cheerwing FPV app. The drone's camera feed should now be visible, indicating a successful connection.

Operating Instructions

Basic Flight Controls

The drone can be controlled via the included remote controller or through the smartphone app.

• One Key Take-off / Landing: Press the dedicated button on the controller or in the app to automatically take off or land.
• Altitude Hold: The drone will maintain a fixed height automatically, making it easier to control.
• Headless Mode: In this mode, the drone's orientation is relative to the pilot, eliminating the need to adjust its position before flight.
• Speed Modes: Cycle through High, Medium, and Low speed settings to match your skill level and environment.

Advanced Control Features

• Voice Control: Use simple voice commands like "take off" and "landing" to control the drone directly through the app.
• Gravity Induction: Tilt your smartphone to control the drone's movement (forward, backward, left, right) without touching the screen.
• Waypoint Flight: Draw a desired flight path on your smartphone screen, and the drone will automatically follow it.

Camera Operation

The CW10 Mini Drone is equipped with a built-in WiFi camera for capturing photos and videos.

• Real-time FPV: View the drone's camera feed live on your smartphone via the Cheerwing FPV app.
• Photo Capture: Tap the camera icon in the app to take still photos.
• Video Recording: Tap the video icon in the app to start/stop video recording.
• Gesture Selfie: The drone can automatically take photos when specific hand gestures are performed in front of the camera.

Safety Guidelines

• Always operate the drone in open, clear areas, away from people, animals, and obstacles.
• Do not fly near airports, restricted airspace, or sensitive facilities.
• Maintain visual line of sight with the drone at all times.
• Avoid flying in strong winds or adverse weather conditions.
• Ensure batteries are fully charged before each flight.
• Do not touch the propellers when they are spinning.
• Supervise children during drone operation. Recommended age is 14 years and up.
• If the drone goes out of range, it may trigger an alarm. Ensure you are within the maximum controllable distance (10 meters).

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the drone. Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents.
• Propellers: Regularly check propellers for damage. Replace any bent or broken propellers using the included spare parts and screwdriver.
• Battery Care:
  • Store batteries in a cool, dry place.
  • Do not overcharge or over-discharge batteries.
  • If not used for a long period, charge the battery to about 50% capacity.
• Storage: Store the drone and its components in a safe place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
