1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for installing a toilet using the DANCO All-in-One Toilet Installation Kit. This kit simplifies the process by including both the Perfect Seal Wax Ring and Zero Cut Toilet Bolts, designed for a secure and mess-free installation.

2. Safety Information

• Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves and eye protection during installation.
• Ensure the water supply to the toilet is turned off and the tank is drained before beginning any work.
• Toilets can be heavy. Use proper lifting techniques or seek assistance to prevent injury.
• Do not overtighten bolts, as this can crack the toilet porcelain. Hand-tighten only.

• Zero Cut Toilet Bolts (2) - includes brass T-bolts, stainless steel bolts, brass extenders, lock nuts, slide adapters, and low-profile bolt caps.

4. Installation Instructions

4.1. Preparation

1. Remove the old toilet and thoroughly clean the toilet flange of any old wax or debris. Ensure the flange is free of cracks or damage.
2. Determine the height of your toilet flange relative to the floor. The Perfect Seal Wax Ring is designed to work with flanges 1/2 inch above the floor or 1-1/2 inches below the floor.

4.2. Install Brass T-Bolts

3. Insert the brass T-bolts into the slots on the toilet flange. Position them directly across from each other, aligning with where the toilet's bolt holes will sit.
4. Place the gray lock nuts onto the T-bolts, ensuring the plastic ring faces down to secure them in place. Hand-tighten the lock nuts slightly to hold the T-bolts in position, but do not fully tighten yet.

4.3. Prepare Perfect Seal Wax Ring

5. If your flange is above or flush with the floor, remove the blue adapter ring from the Perfect Seal Wax Ring. If your flange is below the floor, keep the blue adapter ring attached.
6. Remove the wax paper covering the wax insert on the Perfect Seal Wax Ring.

4.4. Place Perfect Seal Wax Ring

7. Carefully place the Perfect Seal Wax Ring over the toilet flange, aligning its holes with the installed T-bolts. The wax ring should sit on top of the flange.

4.5. Insert Alignment Bullets

8. Insert the blue alignment bullets into the top of the brass T-bolts. These will serve as guides for accurately positioning the toilet.

4.6. Set the Toilet

9. Carefully lower the toilet onto the flange, guiding the toilet's bolt holes over the blue alignment bullets.
10. Once the toilet is in place, press down firmly and rock it gently from side to side to compress the wax ring and create a watertight seal.

4.7. Adjusting for Toilet Rocking (Optional)

11. If the toilet still rocks after initial placement, lift the toilet and remove the inner black plastic ring from the Perfect Seal Wax Ring. This allows for greater compression.
12. Re-seat the toilet as described in Step 9 and 10.

4.8. Secure the Toilet Bolts

13. Remove the blue alignment bullets.
14. Thread the stainless steel bolts into the brass T-bolts.
15. Place the white slide adapters over the bolts, ensuring they are positioned to allow hand-tightening.
16. Hand-tighten the bolts using the slide adapters until the toilet is secure and does not rock. Do not use tools to tighten, as this can damage the toilet.
17. Once tightened, snap the low-profile bolt caps over the slide adapters for a clean finish.

4.9. Using Extenders (Optional)

18. If the toilet base is significantly higher than the T-bolts, you may need to use the brass extenders.
19. Thread the brass extenders onto the brass T-bolts before installing the stainless steel bolts. This increases the overall height of the bolt assembly.

5. Troubleshooting

• Toilet Rocks After Installation: If the toilet is not sitting flush or rocks, lift the toilet and remove the inner black plastic ring from the Perfect Seal Wax Ring (if not already removed). This allows for maximum compression. Re-seat the toilet firmly.
• Bolts Not Long Enough: If the T-bolts do not extend sufficiently through the toilet base, ensure the brass extenders are used (if applicable to your flange height).
• Leakage: Ensure the wax ring is properly compressed by pressing down firmly on the toilet. Verify that the flange is clean and undamaged.
