3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation and Removal

1. To install the battery: Align the battery pack with the tool's battery port and slide it in until it clicks securely into place.
2. To remove the battery: Press the battery release button (typically located at the front of the battery pack) and slide the battery out.

3.2 Blade Installation and Removal

The BDCR20C features a tool-free blade change system for convenience.

1. Ensure the battery pack is removed from the saw before installing or removing a blade.
2. Locate the blade clamp lever on the side of the saw head.
3. Lift the blade clamp lever fully to open the blade clamp.
4. Insert the shank of the reciprocating saw blade into the blade clamp opening until it is fully seated.
5. Release the blade clamp lever. The blade should be securely locked in place. Gently pull on the blade to ensure it is properly secured.
6. To remove a blade, repeat step 3 and pull the blade out.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 General Operation

1. Insert a charged battery pack into the saw.
2. Select the appropriate blade for your material (wood, metal, plastic, etc.).
3. Position the pivoting shoe firmly against the workpiece.
4. Press the variable speed trigger to start the saw. Apply light pressure initially, then increase as the blade engages the material.
5. Guide the saw along the cutting line, allowing the blade to do the work. Avoid forcing the saw.
6. Release the trigger to stop the saw. The electric brake will quickly halt the blade.

4.2 Variable Speed Control

The variable speed trigger allows you to adjust the cutting speed based on the material and desired precision. Pressing the trigger lightly results in slower speeds, while pressing it fully provides maximum speed.
