4.2 Wire the Keystone Modules

The Keystone modules feature tool-free assembly for solid conductors (AWG 22-25).

  1. Open the keystone module by lifting the cover.
  2. Refer to the color coding diagram (EIA/TIA568A or EIA/TIA568B) printed on the module. Choose the standard appropriate for your network.
  3. Strip approximately 2-3 cm of the outer jacket from your network cable. Do not strip the individual wire insulation.
  4. Untwist the wire pairs and carefully place each individual wire into its corresponding color-coded slot on the IDC terminal block. Ensure the wires are fully seated.
  5. Close the cover of the keystone module firmly. This action will simultaneously cut the excess wire and establish the connection.
  6. Repeat for the second keystone module.
