The hood has a maximum airflow capacity of 570 m³/h, ensuring efficient removal of cooking fumes and odors. The noise level is rated at 69 dB at maximum speed.
This model also features a "Remote Blower" capability, which allows for the motor unit to be installed remotely, potentially reducing noise in the kitchen. Consult a professional installer for details on utilizing this feature.
4. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Faber In-Nova Comfort hood.
Cleaning the Grease Filters:
The hood is equipped with cassette-type grease filters made of metal alloy. These filters capture grease particles from cooking fumes and should be cleaned regularly (approximately every 2-4 weeks, depending on usage) to prevent a build-up that can reduce efficiency and pose a fire risk.
- Switch off the hood and disconnect it from the main power supply.
- Locate the filter release latches, usually found on the underside of the filters.
- Carefully unlatch and remove the filters.
- Clean the filters by hand using warm water and a mild detergent, or place them in a dishwasher on a low-temperature cycle. Avoid using abrasive cleaners.
- Ensure the filters are completely dry before re-installing them.
- Re-insert the filters, ensuring they click securely into place.
Replacing Charcoal Filters (for Recirculation Mode):
If your hood is operating in recirculation mode, it will require activated charcoal filters (not included with the standard unit). These filters absorb odors and typically need to be replaced every 3-6 months, depending on usage. They cannot be washed.
- Switch off the hood and disconnect it from the main power supply.
- Remove the metal grease filters as described above.
- Locate the charcoal filters, which are usually attached to the motor housing.
- Remove the old charcoal filters and dispose of them.
- Install new charcoal filters according to the instructions provided with the replacement filters.
- Re-install the metal grease filters.
Cleaning the Hood Exterior:
Clean the stainless steel exterior with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive pads that can scratch the surface.
LED Light Replacement:
The hood uses LED lighting. If a light needs replacement, contact a qualified technician or refer to the detailed instructions in the full user manual for specific procedures.
5. Troubleshooting
Before contacting customer support, please refer to the following common issues and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Hood does not turn on. | No power supply; power cord disconnected; fuse blown. | Check power connection; check circuit breaker/fuse box. |
| Low suction power. | Grease filters are dirty; charcoal filters are saturated (recirculation mode); obstruction in ducting; fan speed too low. | Clean grease filters; replace charcoal filters; check ducting for blockages; increase fan speed. |
| Excessive noise. | Loose components; improper installation; obstruction in fan; ducting issues. | Check for loose parts; ensure secure installation; inspect fan for foreign objects; check ducting for proper sealing and bends. |
| Lights not working. | LED bulb failure; electrical connection issue. | Ensure power is connected; if individual LEDs are out, contact service for replacement. |
