Battery Installation

The clock requires 2 x AA 1.5V batteries, which are not included in the package.

  1. Locate and open the battery compartment cover on the back of the clock.
  2. Insert 2 new AA 1.5V batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and - symbols).

Upon battery installation, the clock will automatically begin searching for the DCF-77 radio signal.

Initial Signal Reception

For optimal signal reception, place the clock near a window and away from electronic devices that may cause interference. The radio signal icon on the display will flash during the search.

Once the DCF-77 signal is successfully received, the time, date, and weekday will be set automatically. This synchronization process may take several minutes. If the signal is not received within 10 minutes, try repositioning the clock or proceed with manual time setting.

Maintenance

  • Battery Replacement: Replace the batteries when the display becomes dim or the clock ceases to function correctly. Always replace both batteries simultaneously with new ones of the same type and voltage.
  • Placement: Avoid placing the clock in direct sunlight, near strong heat sources (e.g., radiators, ovens), or in areas with extremely high humidity, as these conditions can affect the clock's accuracy and lifespan.
  • Disposal: Dispose of used batteries and the device responsibly, adhering to all local regulations for electronic waste and battery recycling.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Clock display is blank or dim.Batteries are depleted or incorrectly inserted.Check battery polarity. Replace with new AA 1.5V batteries.
Time is incorrect or not setting automatically.Poor DCF-77 radio signal reception. Clock is out of signal range or experiencing interference.Move the clock to a different location, ideally near a window and away from other electronic devices (TVs, computers, microwaves). Allow time for signal reception. Manually set the time if automatic synchronization fails.
Temperature or humidity readings appear inaccurate.Sensor obstruction or extreme environmental conditions (e.g., direct sunlight, strong drafts).Ensure the clock's sensors are not blocked. Allow the clock to acclimate to its environment for at least 30 minutes after moving it. Avoid placing it in areas with rapid temperature or humidity fluctuations.
Alarm does not sound.Alarm function is not activated. Alarm time is incorrectly set.Verify that the alarm icon is displayed on the screen, indicating it is active. Check the alarm settings to ensure the correct time is programmed.
