4. Setup and Installation

This security light is designed for flush mount installation and direct wire connection. Professional installation is recommended if you are not familiar with electrical wiring.

1. Turn Off Power: Locate the circuit breaker controlling the outdoor lighting circuit and turn it OFF. Verify power is off using a voltage tester.
2. Prepare Mounting Surface: Ensure the mounting surface is clean, dry, and structurally sound.
3. Mounting Bracket Installation: Attach the mounting bracket (if separate) to the junction box using the provided screws.

   • Connect the black wire from the fixture to the black (hot) wire from the junction box using a wire connector.
   • Connect the white wire from the fixture to the white (neutral) wire from the junction box using a wire connector.
   • Connect the ground wire from the fixture to the ground wire from the junction box (or to the junction box itself if applicable).
   • Ensure all connections are tight and secure.

Motion Sensor Operation

The motion sensor detects movement within its coverage area (up to 100 ft) and activates the light. The light will remain on for a set duration after motion is no longer detected.

Adjusting Settings: The motion sensor typically has adjustable controls for:

• Sensitivity (SENS): Controls the range or sensitivity of the motion detection. Turn clockwise for higher sensitivity, counter-clockwise for lower.
• Time (TIME): Sets how long the light remains on after motion is detected. Common settings range from a few seconds to several minutes. Turn clockwise for longer duration, counter-clockwise for shorter.
• Lux/Daylight Sensor (LUX): Determines the ambient light level at which the motion sensor becomes active.
  • Set to the "sun" icon for day and night operation.
  • Set to the "moon" icon for night-only operation (dawn-to-dusk feature).

Dawn-to-Dusk Feature

When the LUX setting is set to the "moon" icon, the light will only activate due to motion when the ambient light level is low (e.g., at dusk or night), conserving energy during daylight hours.
