Important Safety Instructions

Please read these instructions carefully before operating your microwave oven. Keep this manual for future reference.

• Do not attempt to operate this oven with the door open as this can result in harmful exposure to microwave energy.
• Do not place any object between the oven front face and the door or allow soil or cleaner residue to accumulate on sealing surfaces.
• Do not operate the oven if it is damaged. It is particularly important that the oven door closes properly and that there is no damage to the: (1) Door (bent), (2) Hinges and latches (broken or loosened), (3) Door seals and sealing surfaces.
• The oven should not be adjusted or repaired by anyone except properly qualified service personnel.
• Ensure the appliance is placed on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface.
• Do not immerse the cord, plug, or the appliance itself in water or any other liquid.

1. Product Overview

The Tower T24021 Digital Microwave Oven is designed for efficient cooking and reheating. It features an 800W power output and a 20-liter capacity, making it suitable for everyday use.

2. Setup and Installation

2.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove the microwave oven and all packing materials from the carton. Check the oven for any damage, such as dents or a misaligned door. Do not operate the oven if it is damaged. Retain the carton and packing materials for future use or dispose of them responsibly.

2.2 Placement

• Place the microwave oven on a flat, stable surface that can support its weight and the heaviest food item likely to be cooked in it.
• Ensure adequate ventilation. Leave a minimum of 10 cm (4 inches) clearance at the rear, 20 cm (8 inches) at the top, and 5 cm (2 inches) on each side.
• Do not block air vents.
• Keep the oven away from heat sources and water.

2.3 Turntable Assembly

Before first use, assemble the turntable components inside the oven cavity.

1. Place the turntable ring inside the oven cavity.
2. Place the glass turntable plate on top of the turntable ring, ensuring it sits securely in the center hub.

2.4 Power Connection

Plug the power cord into a standard 240V AC electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet is properly grounded.

3. Operating Instructions

The Tower T24021 features a digital display and intuitive controls for easy operation.

3.1 Setting the Clock

When the microwave is first plugged in, the display will show "0:00".

1. Press the "Defrost/Clock" button once.
2. Turn the "Time/Weight" dial to set the hour.
3. Press "Defrost/Clock" again.
4. Turn the "Time/Weight" dial to set the minutes.
5. Press "Defrost/Clock" one last time to confirm the setting.

3.2 Microwave Cooking

To cook with microwave power:

1. Place food in a microwave-safe container and place it on the turntable. Close the door.
2. Press the "Micro Power" button repeatedly to select the desired power level (P100, P80, P60, P40, P20, P0). P100 is full power (800W).
3. Turn the "Time/Weight" dial to set the cooking time (up to 60 minutes).
4. Press the "Instant/Start" button to begin cooking.

3.3 Defrost Function

The defrost function allows you to thaw frozen food by weight or time.

Defrost by Weight:

1. Press the "Defrost/Clock" button twice. The display will show "dEF1".
2. Turn the "Time/Weight" dial to select the weight of the food (e.g., 200g, 400g, 600g).
3. Press "Instant/Start" to begin defrosting.

Defrost by Time:

1. Press the "Defrost/Clock" button three times. The display will show "dEF2".
2. Turn the "Time/Weight" dial to set the defrosting time.
3. Press "Instant/Start" to begin defrosting.

3.4 Auto Cooking Programs

The microwave includes 8 auto-cook settings for common food items:

1. Press the "Auto Cooking" button repeatedly to cycle through the programs (A-1 to A-8). Refer to the table below for program details.
2. Turn the "Time/Weight" dial to select the weight or number of servings.
3. Press "Instant/Start" to begin.

Note: These are approximate settings. Adjust cooking time based on food quantity and desired doneness.

4. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning of your microwave oven will ensure its longevity and efficient operation.

4.1 Cleaning the Exterior

• Wipe the exterior surface with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
• Ensure no water enters the ventilation openings.

4.2 Cleaning the Interior

• Clean the oven cavity after each use with a mild detergent and a soft cloth.
• For stubborn food splatters, place a bowl of water with lemon slices inside and microwave on high for 2-3 minutes. The steam will loosen the residue, making it easier to wipe away.
• Regularly clean the door seals and sealing surfaces to prevent food buildup.

4.3 Cleaning the Turntable

• The glass turntable plate and roller ring can be removed for cleaning.
• Wash them in warm, soapy water or in the dishwasher.
• Ensure they are completely dry before placing them back in the oven.
