Setup

1. Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the handset.
  2. Connect the battery pack connector securely into the jack inside the compartment.
  3. Place the battery pack into the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover.

Note: Use only the supplied rechargeable Ni-MH battery pack. Non-rechargeable batteries or other battery types may damage the handset.

2. Connecting the Base Unit

  1. Plug the small end of the AC power adapter into the power jack on the back of the base unit.
  2. Plug the large end of the AC power adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
  3. Plug one end of the telephone line cord into the TEL LINE jack on the back of the base unit.
  4. Plug the other end of the telephone line cord into a telephone wall jack.

Important: Use only the power adapter and telephone line cord provided with this product.

3. Charging the Handset

Place the handset on the base unit with the display facing forward. The CHARGE light on the base unit should illuminate, indicating proper charging. Allow the handset to charge for at least 16 hours before initial use to ensure full battery capacity.

Operating Instructions

Making a Call

  1. Press TALK/FLASH or SPEAKER to get a dial tone.
  2. Dial the phone number.
  3. To end the call, press OFF/CLEAR or place the handset back on the base unit.

Receiving a Call

When the phone rings, press TALK/FLASH or SPEAKER to answer the call.

Using the Speakerphone

During a call, press the SPEAKER button to switch to speakerphone mode. Press it again to return to handset mode.

Caller ID

If you subscribe to Caller ID service, the caller's name and number will appear on the handset display after the first ring. You can review the Caller ID log by pressing the CID button (often combined with the UP arrow).

Answering Machine

Your phone includes a digital answering machine. The answering machine will automatically answer calls after a preset number of rings and allow callers to leave a message.

  • Playback Messages: Press the PLAY/STOP button on the base unit or handset to listen to new messages.
  • Record Greeting: Access the answering machine menu on the handset to record a personalized outgoing message.
  • Delete Messages: During message playback, press the DELETE button.

Volume Control

During a call, press the UP or DOWN arrow buttons on the handset to adjust the listening volume.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Phone

Clean the phone and base unit with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use cleaning sprays or harsh chemicals, as these may damage the finish or electrical components.

Battery Care

To maintain optimal battery performance, fully charge the handset for 16 hours before initial use. If the phone will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery from the handset to prevent leakage.

Troubleshooting

  • Ensure the telephone line cord is securely plugged into both the base unit and the wall jack.

Handset does not charge.

  • The caller may have blocked their number.
Answering machine not recording messages.
