Operating Your MX Ergo Plus

Trackball Control

Unlike a traditional mouse, the MX Ergo Plus allows you to control the cursor using your thumb on the trackball. This eliminates the need to move your wrist or arm, significantly reducing strain.

Precision Mode Button

The precision mode button, located near the trackball, allows you to instantly switch between speed and high-precision tracking. Press it once for fine, pixel-perfect control, and again to return to normal speed. This is particularly useful for tasks requiring detailed accuracy, such as graphic design or spreadsheet work.

Customizable Buttons

The MX Ergo Plus features several customizable buttons, including the scroll wheel with tilt and middle click functionality. To personalize these buttons and streamline your workflow, download and install the Logitech Options software from the official Logitech website (www.logitech.com/options). This software allows you to assign various functions, shortcuts, and application-specific settings to each button.

Easy-Switch™ and FLOW-enabled

The Easy-Switch feature allows you to pair your MX Ergo Plus with up to two different computers and seamlessly switch between them with a single button press. For advanced multi-computer workflow, the trackball is FLOW-enabled, allowing you to copy and paste text, images, and files between computers by simply moving your cursor from one screen to another (requires Logitech Options software on all connected computers).

Battery Management

The MX Ergo Plus is equipped with a fast-rechargeable battery that can last up to 4 months on a full charge. A quick charge of just 1 minute provides up to a day of use. The trackball uses 1 AAA battery (included). The charging port is located on the front of the device.

Cleaning the Trackball

To ensure optimal performance and smooth tracking, it is recommended to periodically clean the trackball and its housing. Dust and debris can accumulate over time.

  1. Turn off the trackball using the power switch on the bottom.
  2. Gently push the trackball out from the bottom opening of the device.
  3. Use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe the trackball clean.
  4. Use a cotton swab or compressed air to clean the inside of the trackball housing, paying attention to the small sensor lenses.
  5. Once clean, reinsert the trackball into its housing until it clicks into place.
