Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Grinder does not start. | Not plugged in; Hopper not correctly seated; Lid not correctly placed. | Ensure power cord is plugged in. Check that the bean hopper is correctly locked into place. Ensure the hopper lid is securely closed. |
| Inconsistent grind or too much "silt" for coarse grinds (e.g., French Press). | Grind setting too fine; Old coffee beans. | Adjust the Thickness Control Dial to a coarser setting. Use fresh, whole coffee beans for best results. |
| Ground coffee sticking to container (static). | Static electricity build-up. | Lightly tap the ground coffee container on a hard surface before removing the lid to dislodge grounds. Some static is normal with dry coffee. |
| Grinder is unusually loud or makes strange noises. | Foreign object in burrs; Burrs clogged with old coffee. | Unplug the unit. Carefully inspect and clean the burrs for any obstructions. Refer to Maintenance section. |
