  • Do not immerse the motor unit in water or any other liquid. Clean with a damp cloth only.
  • Keep hands and utensils away from the grinding mechanism during operation.
  • Ensure the mill is placed on a stable, level, and dry surface during use.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  • Do not operate the mill with a damaged cord or plug, or if the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
  • Use only dry, non-oily grains. Grinding oily seeds or wet ingredients can damage the grinding stones.
  • Do not overfill the hopper beyond its maximum capacity.

3. Package Contents

4. Setup

  1. Unpack the Mill: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future transport or storage.
  2. Placement: Place the Mockmill 200 on a clean, dry, and stable surface. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit.
  3. Attach Hopper: Place the hopper onto the top of the mill unit. Ensure it sits securely.
  4. Connect Power: Plug the power cord into the designated port on the back of the mill, then plug the other end into a suitable 230V AC power outlet.
  5. First Use Cleaning: Before first use, it is recommended to grind a small amount of rice (approximately 50-100g) on a coarse setting. Discard this initial batch of flour. This helps to clean any manufacturing residue from the grinding stones.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Fill the Hopper: Open the lid and pour your desired dry, non-oily grains into the hopper. The maximum capacity is 1100 grams.
  2. Adjust Fineness: Use the adjustment lever on the side of the mill to select your desired fineness setting. The Mockmill 200 offers continuous adjustment, from very coarse to extremely fine flour. For finer flour, move the lever towards the "fine" end; for coarser flour, move it towards the "coarse" end. The ceramic corundum grinding stones (90mm diameter) ensure consistent results.
  3. Place Collection Bowl: Position a bowl or container under the flour spout to collect the freshly ground flour.
  4. Start Grinding: Turn on the mill using the power switch located at the base. The mill will begin grinding immediately. The Mockmill 200 can grind approximately 200 grams of flour per minute.
  5. Stop Grinding: Once all grains have been processed or you have achieved the desired amount of flour, turn off the mill using the power switch.

Suitable Grains: The Mockmill 200 is suitable for grinding various dry grains and legumes, including wheat, rye, spelt, chickpeas, quinoa, corn, rice, millet, and dried spices. Avoid grinding oily seeds (e.g., flax seeds, sesame seeds) or very moist ingredients, as these can clog the grinding stones and damage the mill.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Mockmill 200.

  1. Unplug Before Cleaning: Always ensure the mill is unplugged from the power outlet before performing any cleaning or maintenance.
  2. Empty Hopper: Remove any remaining grains from the hopper.
  3. Clean Grinding Stones: To clean the ceramic corundum grinding stones, grind a handful of dry rice on the finest setting. The rice acts as an abrasive to clean the stone surfaces. Repeat if necessary.
  4. Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the mill with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water.
  5. Hopper and Lid: The hopper and lid can be wiped clean with a damp cloth or washed with mild soap and water, then thoroughly dried.
  6. Storage: Store the mill in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
