Setup
The Avalon water cooler comes with a full installation kit for direct connection to your existing sink water line. Professional installation is recommended but not required.

Figure 4: Installation kit components. This image shows the included 1/4" tubing, 3-way plastic push connect adapter, under-sink 3/8" adapter with shut-off valve, and filter flushing adapter.
Installation Steps:
- Unpack and Inspect: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any damage.
- Position the Unit: Place the water cooler on a stable, level countertop near a water source and an electrical outlet. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
- Connect to Water Source:
- Locate your cold water supply line under the sink.
- Install the provided under-sink 3/8" adapter with shut-off valve to your cold water line.
- Connect the 1/4" tubing from the installation kit to the adapter.
- Route the tubing to the back of the water cooler and connect it to the water inlet port. Ensure the tubing is pushed firmly into the quick-connect fitting until the black mark on the tubing is no longer visible, indicating a secure connection.
- Install Filters: Insert the Sediment filter (Avalon A5FILTER) and Activated Carbon filter (Avalon A4FILTER) into their designated compartments. Follow the directional arrows on the filters for correct orientation.
- Flush Filters: Before turning on the water cooler, flush the filters. Connect the filter flushing adapter to the water line and run water through the filters for several minutes until the water runs clear. This removes carbon fines and air from the filters.
- Check for Leaks: Slowly open the shut-off valve on the water supply line. Carefully check all connections for any leaks. Tighten connections if necessary.
- Plug In: Once all connections are secure and leak-free, plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
- Activate Hot and Cold Functions: Locate the hot and cold water switches on the back of the unit. Turn them ON. Allow the unit to operate for at least 15-20 minutes to reach optimal temperatures before dispensing.
