4.1 System Components

The Edifier XM2PF system consists of one subwoofer unit and two satellite speakers. The subwoofer houses the main controls, input ports, and the bass driver, while the satellite speakers provide mid-range and treble audio output.
4.2 Rear Panel Controls and Ports

The rear panel of the subwoofer unit features various controls and input/output ports:
- Power Switch: Toggles the speaker system on or off.

4.4 Remote Control
The included infrared (IR) remote control allows for convenient operation of the speaker system from a distance. Functions include:
- Power: On/Off
- Source Selection: Switch between AUX, USB, SD, and FM modes.
- Volume Control: Increase or decrease overall volume.
- Mute: Temporarily silence audio output.
- Playback Controls: Play/Pause, Previous Track, Next Track (for USB/SD playback).
- FM Scan: Initiates automatic scanning for FM radio stations.
5. Setup Instructions
- Placement: Position the subwoofer on a stable surface, ideally on the floor. Place the satellite speakers on either side of your listening area, ensuring they are facing towards you for optimal stereo imaging.
- Connect Satellite Speakers: Connect the RCA cables from the satellite speakers to the "Speaker Out L" and "Speaker Out R" ports on the rear panel of the subwoofer. Ensure correct left and right channel connections.
- Connect Audio Source:
- AUX Input: Use the provided 3.5mm audio cable to connect your audio device (e.g., computer, smartphone, MP3 player) to the "AUX" input port on the subwoofer.
- USB/SD Card: Insert a USB flash disk or SD card containing audio files into the respective port/slot on the subwoofer.
- Connect Power: Plug the power cord into the power input on the subwoofer, then connect the other end to a suitable wall outlet (AC 220V).
- Power On: Flip the power switch on the rear panel of the subwoofer to the "ON" position.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Power On/Off
To power on the system, ensure the power cord is connected and flip the power switch on the rear of the subwoofer to "ON". To power off, flip the switch to "OFF".
6.2 Source Selection
Press the "Source" button on the subwoofer's control panel or the remote control to cycle through available input sources: AUX, USB, SD, and FM. The Input Indicator LED will change color to indicate the active source.
6.3 Volume Adjustment
Use the volume up (+) and volume down (-) buttons on the subwoofer or the remote control to adjust the overall system volume.
The bass level can be adjusted independently using the "BASS" control knob located on the rear panel of the subwoofer.
6.4 USB/SD Card Playback
Once a USB flash disk or SD card is inserted and the source is selected, the system will automatically begin playing audio files. Use the "Play/Pause", "Previous Track", and "Next Track" buttons on the subwoofer or remote control to manage playback. The system supports breakpoint memory function, resuming playback from where it left off.
6.5 FM Radio Function
In FM mode, press the "Scan" button on the remote control to automatically scan and save available radio stations. Use the "Previous Track" and "Next Track" buttons to navigate through the saved stations.

- Cleaning: Disconnect the power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surfaces of the speakers. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol sprays.
- Ventilation: Ensure that the ventilation openings on the subwoofer are not blocked to prevent overheating.
- Storage: If storing the speakers for an extended period, unplug them from the power outlet and store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
